Dated hotel but clean. It is right on campus across from aquatic center. Got to hotel late and TV had no signal. Called front desk and was told repairman was working on the problem. Awoke the next day to find it still was out and stayed out till after we checked out. Talked to manager who said they would send us a discount voucher for our next visit. Still Havent recieved voucher or any contact from hotel. For as much as we paid(160 per) we should have had a tv. « less

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd call it a "better than most" kind of hotel. « less

I like staying here because it's the only hotel right on campus, within walking distance to all the stadiums, most dorms, the strip, and main campus. The bar was recently renovated and they did a great job. I enjoy ordering my cocktail and bringing it outside near the pool and sit outside. It's usually empty out there. The down side is that while the lobby, restaurant, bar and hallways were renovated, the bedrooms still feel a bit instiutional. I haven't eaten here, so I cannot comment...I usually do not eat dinner at my hotels. « less

Front desk: Unfriendly Room: First impression the room seemed clean. Wrong. The shower had a "ring" around the bottom. Dirty floor. Especially under the vanity.
Bed linen had holes. Desk drawer falls out when opening. Bath robe was dirty. ANTS......little tiny biting ants.
Spoke with older gentleman at front desk. He said, "sorry, we'll spray when you're not in the room."
Problem not resolved: Continued ant problems, bite wounds, dirty shower, dirty robe Breakfast too expensive -service for the most part was terrible. We did have a wonderful waitress and waiter. Megan was great and a tall/dark Alabama student went above and beyond. « less

I would not recomment this hotel unless you would like your car to get towed just because there are stickers supporting University of Alabama Band. I was in this hotel for a work related seminar. This hotel does not use parking passes except on game days weekends (per the front desk). A co-worker and I were told that they were only supposed to tow students cars who parked in the parking lot and then walked to campus. The maintenence men are the ones who point out the cars to the towing company as the ones for them to tow. When we came out of our seminar for lunch to much suprise both of our cars were gone. When we went to the front desk no one really seemed to care. The head of maintenence then told her we would have to go get our cars because the towing company did not have the keys to them. Well, how did they get them in the first place? So we had to spend an hour going down to the towing company and get our cars out of a junk yard due to Hotel Captsone's mistake. Upon arriving back to the hotel to try and finish our seminar I went to the front desk to tell them not to tow my car again because I was attending a seminar hosted in there hotel the front desk workers still seemed to care less about what happened. We then spoke the head of maintence Gary and at first he could not give us a reason to why our cars were towed. He was very snarky and sarcastic and just said it was a mistake. He then told us that it was because a student parked beside us and he just must have got them mixed up. Our cars were on opposite sides of the parking lot from each other so how did that exact situation happen to both of us?? Very very inconvient and very poor customer service. « less
