The Intercontinental Hotel is an exceptionally modern hotel! Our small group made great use of the well equipped fitness center and enjoyed evenings at the chic champagne and rum bar on the main floor. It's convenient location allowed us to park our vehicle for weekend and walk to eateries and bars. The only downside to our trip were the beds and the pillows. The mattresses were hard, the springs inside were easily felt while sleeping, and the the blankets were lacking warmth and comfort. Also, the pillows appeared plush and full but flattened out completely when you rested your head on them. I spoke to the front desk about this and they said they would change our room but all the mattresses are the same. The staff was nice and accommodating, however, we still needed to sleep on the same mattresses. We will definitely stay here again-- if they get new mattresses. « less

I was really impressed by this modern hotel. Fabulous location right on the water front, perfect for those visiting Boston on holiday, or as I was, going there on business. Very large bedroom, with a fabulous view over the harbour - it was a joy to look out in the morning. Nicely decorated. Big bathroom, with a walk in shower as well as a large bath for us Brits - my only negative comment would be that it was quite a stretch to step into the bath and it wasn't easy to get out! I didn't eat formally there but the room service was very good - the waitress delivering it was charming, telling me to 'keep safe' on the evening of the Boston marathon bombings. There is a good selection of restaurants nearby (you may guidance however to find them from the concierge as it's not obvious) and coffee shops. « less
