I live in the area and stayed for a few days while my house was under renovation. Despite earlier reviews I found the hotel and our room to be very clean. The breakfast had a decent selection and there was always fresh coffee brewing. The front desk staff was always present and when I called for more towels, she showed up at my door in under 2 minutes. For the price it was a good experience. The only things I would "complain" about is the temp of the pool (it was a little chilly) and the lack of signage. Like I said, I live in the area and wasn't even sure they were operational! « less

Slum motel with indifferent management, run-down and everything broken! At first glance looked like at one time may have been a nice place, however in a current state of severe neglect and dis-repair, that pretty wallpaper can not hide! The sheet draped over the old "Holiday Inn" sign should have been our cue to run! Stained sheets and towels, badly stained carpets everywhere, joke of doughnuts and burnt coffee for breakfast. Rusty broken chairs and exposed wiring in pool area. No air conditioning in the dining room or lobby area with 100+ weather!! Ice machines don't work, phones don't work! Entrance and parking lot littered with cigarette butts and trash, shredded and torn flags barely hanging by threads to "Welcome You." Looks like only 2 people work here, as we saw no other employees at anytime during our stay, which explains why the place was so unkempt and severely low-grade "free Breakfast"..The front desk guy looked exhausted and haggard, like hadn't slept in days or just rolled off the couch in the "office" to come check us in, so am inclined to believe they are seriously under-staffed. We were slated to stay a few days, but checked out after one night, as it was seriously dis-appointing and uncomfortable to stay in such a place. We found way better accomodations just a few minutes down the road and enjoyed the rest of our trip. Save yourself some money and disgust and travel 15 mins further to Dublin where they have hotels that actually give you what you pay for and care about cleanliness, level of service and "HOSPITALITY" « less

I took my 93 year old mother out of assisted living for Mother's Day weekend. She was looking forward to a different breakfast. Breakfast was suppose to be from 6am till 9am. When we arrived at 8:20am, there were no eggs, meat or coffee. I went to the front desk and was told that they were not allowed to refill hot items. She did make coffee and put out some cold danish. We had the handicap unit which was very nice, but when we arrived, all electrical appliances and the telephone were unplugged. I could not find anyone at the front desk to help me, so I had to move the refrigerator and bed side table myself. Later, the clerk told me she had been folding linen. They certainly do not have much help. « less

This used to be the Holiday Inn Express and when it became Sunshine Hosipitality they went downhill. I blocked off rooms for my wedding and the whole experience was a nightmare. The manager named Ray was impossible to work with and had horrible customer service, he cancelled my blockage of rooms five days before my wedding and made the hotel experience for my wedding a horrible one. They were very unorganized and I can not state one thing positive about the experience and the place. There are a couple hotels next door I wish I went with one of them « less

This place is a little bit of peace in the traveling world. The management is superior along with the total staff. Night desk gentleman was very perfessional, helpful, and considerate. Cleaning staff very thorough. Management is THE BEST we've EVER encountered. (As I am on oxygen and had a porta' unit, staff did their utmost to make me feel comfortable and welcome!)
