I stayed at the Westin on May 9th and was disappointed in the hotel. I originally booked a room with a shared patio that would lead to the steps of the pool. When I checked in I was given a room with a shared patio and not by the steps to the pool. I called to ask to change rooms. I asked for another floor with a private patio if I could not get a room that was easily accessible to the pool. I was told by Jennifer (or someone that claimed to be a Jennifer) that there were no other rooms available other than a small room on the 3rd floor. Utilizing my cell I had my friend call the hotel rather than from the room to ask if private patio rooms were available, to our surprise they were and we were quoted the same rate as what I was paying for the current room. I called back from the room and informed them I did not appreciate being lied to. I was then moved to a private patio room with an additional charge. Too bad the staff is not honest or they are just lazy and don't want to accommodate guests.
Sheets are the worst. They do not fit the bed. Having to get up every five minutes to fix sheets is no fun. To think I gave up staying at The Langham for this.
I must say the only nice person there was Sean, the bell person. He was the best.

We had a great stay at this hotel during a last minute 1 night mid-week trip. Bid $85 on priceline for a Wednesday night 4* hotel and got this one. Tip for you - as of today, the Westin is the only 4* hotel on priceline in Pasadena, so if you bid and get accepted to a 4* in Pasadena - the Westin it is.
The staff was the best part of this hotel. They went above and beyond and were very friendly. They even have a free car service that will take and pick you up around downtown. We used it to go to dinner and back.

I'm writing this review while in my dusty, non-descript room on the 11th floor. (1125) At 1:45 pm we checked in and requested a bottle of wine and an appetizer per our Groupon deal package. I asked if we could have it delivered at 2:15, would 30 minutes be long enough? Was told that was fine; our order wasn't delivered until 3:25. Server said it was because they need 45 - 60 minutes or APPARENTLY 75 minutes to get the order to the room. That's almost an hour longer than we expected so be aware of that. 1) Why didn't Front Desk say that when I asked? 2) Why couldn't they have been proactive and had order waiting for us upon arrival as I tried to request the day before when I confirmed reservation. 3)Why is my Chicken Flatbread appetizer in a standard white pizza box instead of on a covered plate?? This is a 4-star hotel that caters to a sophisticated clientele right? Oh wait, they did offer to give us a free order of chicken wings for the inconvenience...thanks I think Pizza Hut does that too! « less

Thank you for your feedback. I sincerely apologize that this was the way that we began your stay with us. I have to say that with we did get a little overwhelmed by the response to our Groupon offer and got really backed up on the amenity delivery. Compounded with the fact that the associates that were trying to expedite the process opted to use our pizza delivery boxes only served to 'cheapen' the deal. I can tell you that this is not the experience that our guest can expect from us and I pledge that we will do a better job when we chose to participate in similar offers in the future. I hope that we will have another opportunity to give you a better Westin Experience.
