There are quite a few restaurants in the area if you need something to eat. A very good option in Niles. « less

One of the biggest problems with a Holiday Inn Express is the lack of a bar and restaurant. This one provides a free bar (beer, wine and Margaritas) and hors d'oeuvres from Monday to Thursday. The room are clean, the housekeeping is a bit iffy. But the bed was made everyday. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a woman called Sue who will do laundry (for a price!) or use the machines on the 2nd floor. The exercise room has an elliptical, two treadmills and a bike, all nice and new. The pool and spa looked clean and warm but I didn't use them. The breakfast was usually OK, better than most continental breakfasts. We actually went to the Bob Evans next door most mornings. We ate mostly at the Quaker Steak & Lube across the freeway, but the Mexican Salsitas was also pretty good. I'd stay there again. « less

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for two nights while in the area visiting family for the Easter holiday.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
On Easter Sunday, we went down to the provided breakfast and the staff were handing out little packages of Easter candy for the kids. My 7 year old son was building a lego at the breakfast table (an Easter present) and he couldn't find a piece - the ladies working in the dining room provided a flashlight to look under the table and even donned gloves and went through the trash can to make sure he hadn't thrown it away. We never found the piece, but it was so nice to have them help us try!
All in all I would recommend this hotel without *any* hesitation to anyone staying in the area. « less

We needed a room to accomodate my husband and our two adult daughters because my husband's dad was celebrating his 90th birthday, however the whole area had "no room in the inn" because of a statewide high school wrestling match being held that same week-end - so we had to obtain a room about 35 miles away - We spoke with Holiday Inn Express on Cerni Place several times ( only 3 miles from the birthday celebration and family) and always it was "no cancellations but I am looking out for you " We were driving and about 3 hours away from our destination a man named Rudy called me on my cell phone and said he had a room for us. We were thrilled and still had time to cancel the other room that was so far away. The service was unbelievable at The Holiday Inn Express on Cerni Place and if we are ever in that area we will definitely stay there. The rooms are exceptionally clean, breakfast was delicious and the friendly staff amazing. Thank you, Rudy, for going far beyond the call of duty. « less

I wish to start this review with a major "Thank You" to Heidi Pelfrey who worked with me during my extended stay to make this a very good experience. She was professional, understanding and very willing to accommodate my extended stay circumstances. That being said, this hotel is excellent. From the quiet and spacious rooms to the very good breakfasts. I was comfortable and well taken care of during my time with the fine folks at this HIE. While I looked at many hotels in the area, this HIE stood out as the best choice even though there were 3 other hotels within 1000 ft. The property is only a year old and is very conveniently located within easy walking distance from a Bob Evan's which has been newly renovated in Feb. 2013. Besides the Bob Evan's there are two Mexican restaurants as well as a McDonalds, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, Quaker Steak and Lube and Perkins all easily within the hotel's proximity. A very good Chinese place and Pizza Hut deliver to the hotel if you want to stay in. Slightly further afield is a Chipotle, Ruby Tuesday, Jimmy Johns, Buffalo Wild Wings and a little gem of a sandwich shop called The Sandwich Factory. The internet is plenty fast for my work (some very large 10 gigabyte files) and the bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel isn't the greatest (not the hotel's fault, of course) but very few would find that an issue as it seems to be a mostly i-80 overnight crowd and not extended stay. I can and will happily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Warren/Youngstown area. « less
