Had a very pleasant experience at the Doubletree Fairlawn. It's location cannot be beat - close to Cuyahoga State Park and Summit Mall (try The Rail restaurant too!). All staff was pleasant and the room was very comfortable, with a small loveseat and desk in the room in addition to the King size bed. Would stay again! « less

Facility seems new so everything is extra clean. Beds are comfortable. I had a breakfast buffet as part of an on-site seminar. It wasn't the best quality but was filling. I don't think breakfast is typically provided. Pool was closed during my stay. Had a beer at their cafe and the pizza looked very good. Plenty of good restaurant choices in the area. « less

I travel constantly and this room setup was probably one of the best. There is room around the comfortable king size bed and a full size couch. The work area has a spacious table with good light and a number of electrical outlets. Towels were oversized and room 316 has a jacuzzi tub. Heater worked quietly and maintained programed temp. TV is a 32" flat screen.
Negatives were few and correctable. The chest of drawers was lower in the front so the top two drawers always slid open a foot or more which may cause a bump on your walk in the middle of the night. They do provide a coffee machine in the room but my wife likes real cream not the chemical blend. This property doesn't have a concierge floor and even for a diamond member your coffee is $2.00 downstairs. « less

The hotel is under construction so get ready for the noise and hassle. Some of the rooms have not been updated so they will be dark and dirty. Workout area is good. The breakfast service sucked and instead of asking me if I needed anything my waiter decided that carrying on a conversation about Obama being in town and how Ohio would effect his chances of winning was more important than a customer. There's a PF Chang across the street which is a plus. Since I'm a Diamond I'll likely stay at the other Hilton property next door on my next trip to Akron. « less
