Great hotel, the location was fantastic. We didn't want to spend too much on accomodation because we weren't going to spend our time in new york inside the hotel. The subway was 2 minutes away which was only 2 stops from times square. central park was one block away, it is a must walk, it is really the best way to see new york. Overall great hotel for the location and price we paid. « less

To be honest it's always a bit of a nightmare finding a hotel for somewhere you have never been before, especially somewhere like New York! This hotel is situatedon the Upper West side of Manhattan, closest landmarks being the American Museum of Natural History and Central Park. You area stones throw away from the Subway so don't panic that you have to walk to get to where it's all happening. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Rooms are clean and the service is good/polite. ehad no problems at all. The corridors are a little dated and the lifts are a little slow but you're in New York! No-one is in a rush! At the end of a long day in the City you need a comfortable bed to sleep in and this certainly does the job. « less

As many said, this has good location since it just a few minutes walk to the subway. The place is quiet and safe. The staff/front desk are quite helpful, and immediately address your complaints (such us remote of TV is not working). The wifi is good, and its free even in the hotel room. The room is clean. The not so good thing about the hotel was on my last night. Housekeeping did not put in the new bedsheets, but instead just left them on top of the bed... they did not replace the supplies in the bathroom either. I guess because I forgot to leave a tip when I left the room. But I planned to do it on the day I left. Anyway, because they were "rude" about it, I did not leave a tip at all. « less

Disregard the negative reviews of this place, I was very wary when I checked in because of what has been said, but now I feel misled because of the pleasant experiences I had at this hotel. The rooms were clean and very well appointed, and I got way more hotel than I expected for the price I paid. Everything was clean, and I had a lot of room by comparison to other NYC hotels. My only complaint was that it took me a long time to find the HD TV channels, and an updated channel list would have been nice. « less

By far the worse hotel we have ever been to!!! The heater didnt work, no cable t.v., only an old 12 inch screen, all channels were fuzzy, the comment before us is all lies, the lamp was even broken, cheap old blankets, carpet nasty, elevator nasty, couldnt understand the front desk clerk that barely spoke english, and the phone next to the bed didnt work. Only the phone on the bathroom wall worked. We prepaid for a single queen, and when we got there all they had was a double twin room. When we originally arrived, the front desk clerk and concierge were argueing because the front desk clerk was goofing off in the back, " you're not my boss" is all we heard for the first 10 minutes we stood there. This is not a reflection from other Days Inns we have been to. This is the only one that has been bad. This hotel is just Terrible!!! « less
