We stayed at the Jacksonville Hampton Inn while doing a two-day bike trip on the Chief Ladiga Trail. We could not have been more pleased with our stay there. The man who checked us in was extremely helpful with information about restaurants--especially since our only means of transportation was our bikes. There were excellent snacks in the breakfast area that evening and the breakfast the next day had everything we could want. I have no idea how old this hotel is but the room and bathroom looked brand new. We had a king room and it was big enough to accommodate both ourselves and our two bikes. If you are going to be staying here while biking the Chief Ladiga Trail, we would recommend that you exit the trail at the Jacksonville Community Center, going through the parking lot to Alexandria Road, turn right, go to the first stop sign, turn left onto Greenleaf and take it to JD&L where the Hampton Inn is located. This is much easier (and safer) than getting off the trail at Alexandria and working your way back. « less

When we arrived, the first thing that I noticed about this hotel is that they offered free bicycle rentals for guests. I thought this was so cool, as I have not seen anything similar to that before, I took the bike out and the tires were very low, but it was still a neat gesture that I would like to see more hotels doing.
The rooms were a nice size and the beds were so comfortable. The cleanliness was obvious. I slept like a baby that night, which is not always the case when traveling.
The room's decor was very nice, too. It had a great, comfortable feel.
Also, the eggs at the complementary breakfast were delicious.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel; Plus it is one of the only hotel chains in the city. « less

Nice size, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Free wi-fi, breakfast, and parking. This was Jacksonville State University Graduation weekend and the hotel was full. The staffers on duty (April 26-27) went out their way to make sure the guests were happy. The staffer on duty April 26 allowed two large families to eat dinner in the breakfast facility and the staffer cleaned up afterward. I thought this was outstanding since the town is small and lines at restaurants were probably a few hours long. They were also very busy on April 27. Outstanding job! Gas station and few fast foods within walking distance and WalMart and other stores within few miles. Mall within 15 miles. Yes, I will stay here next time in the area. « less

I stayed at the Jacksonville Hampton for the Cheaha Challenge Cycling event. Lots of cyclists were there and they had no issues with us keeping our bikes in the room to keep them safe. The moment I walked into the room, I loved it! I was impressed with the updated furnishings, stylish and functional bathroom, and how clean and fresh everything was. Then when I went to plug my phone in by the bed I discovered an amazingly smart little charging station sitting on the nightstand - love it!! I got up early to get ready for the ride and had the complimentary breakfast (open at 6AM). There were eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, pastries, yogurts, coffee, juices, etc. Lots of good pre-ride food! Overall, I seriously wish I had been staying for more than just one night. For next year's event, I'll be staying there again for sure. « less
