During a rain storm the roof leaked between the walls, and we had to listen to the drip ALL night long directly behind the beds. Room stench was masked so strongly with whatever floral sent they sprayed, that it could turn a weak stomach. Door knob to the room sat loosely on the room door, making it difficult to enter the room or close it securely. Internet is VERY VERY slow here, even got booted and had to re log on 9 separate occasions, (though I believe this is because the red headed kid at the front desk was playing video games all night and using most of the available bandwidth). The shower decides to scold you with hot water in random intervals while attempting to shower. Breakfast consist of some random STUFF laying about in a room no larger than a walk in closet and consisted of stale cereal, bananas, coffee, warm milk and a pitcher of what i am guessing was apple juice.The second floor side door is not secure at any point of the day or night. If you plan on staying in Pelhem Alabama... I highly recommend another hotel. « less

At first sight we thought this looks OK. Big disappointment rooms are very small , there was only two of us but fount it very tight. Bedding needs upgrading . If bathroom door was open y could not get to washbasin . The coffee maker we had,I don't think had ever been cleaned, just couldn't use it. Internet net is every poor , only place I could get connected was outside reception . I given 3 different passwords, which did not really help , if I tried to get connected in the room most of the time I Was being told incorrect spelling , or if it did connect it would last a couple of mins. Then it would say TIMED OUT and stop working. The only good thing I can say is not a bad price « less

I stayed here for one night for a concert, first time ever in this area. The staff was friendly, I walked to the venue in less than 10 minutes, plenty of food options nearby as well. Location is great and the hotel room was pretty clean. The staff was pretty friendly with the Phish crowd.
Downfall for this hotel is the old and worn out condition. It looks like they were doing some light remodeling, which is good, but they have a loooong way to go. There are about a dozen hotels around the venue, this one being the cheapest, but for good reason. $68 total for the room, not bad for a place to only sleep and shower before hitting the road.
If you want to walk to a concert, this place is great. « less
