We had unit #706 and here are my comments. I agree with previous posters that these units are a little long in the tooth and are in need of some updating. Noise issue is not with adjoining rooms but with having screenless windows open for fresh air. All night long there was this incessant noise from offshore buoy I think. Not for sure, but boy was it like having teeth pulled without novacane. Also, the seals are not very romantic when they are barking in full voice down at the dock across the highway from the motel. Need to have industrial strength earplugs or major sleeping pills. Some people may find these noises charming and part of the local ambiance but do not count me among them. Nothing kills a vacation stay like a sleepless nite. On a positive note, the complimentary breakfast provided was nice and tasty. The choices offered were many, the quality was good and the service was pleasant. « less

We have stayed here through the years. The rooms have a view down the hill, across the Bay and to Bodega Head. King rooms with fireplace are quite nice as this location along the coast is usually quite cool and may be foggy, especially May through September. The sitting area next to the windows with the view out make the time in the room enjoyable. The restaurant was excellent, as usual. Sometimes fit for foodies, sometimes not but always quite good.
The rooms no longer have refrigerators but the complimentary wine continues. The pool and spa are quite nice. Be aware their policy permits smoking outside on the property which includes the pool and spa area. « less

We stayed here two years ago and made the mistake of eating in the restaurant next to reception. This time we crossed the road to the other restaurant and it was excellent. The service was good , a bit surly later in the evening but more than made up for by the great menu.
The rooms were exactly the same as before, with tea, coffee, nice towels and quiet. Not sure we would stay a week but great for a stop over. « less

Our one night stay was welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine. Great view of the bay from the room opening into a porch. Great breakfast at the Tides which is right on the bay. We actually saw sealions while enjoying breakfast! Couteous staff. Waiter was not sympathetic to our daughters food allergies. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Yes it did. I was especially pleased with the price. Because of your outstanding service and immediate attention to my request, I've already referred your services to anyone that needs it. I, too, will continue to use your service in the future." R.W. - Independence, MO
"I found your site very easy to use, and useful, and your staff helpful but not at all pushy. (I tried using another site that resulted in "sales" calls and won't use that site again. Conference planning is hectic/nutty enough without someone calling everyday to bug you! :-) Not only would I use you, but recommend you highly." L.F. - Berkeley, CA
