I stayed at the Hilton during a recent business trip to Shangai. I've stayed there on a number of occasions previously and have always been satisfied with my stay. The hotel has been open for many years and the rooms were quite dates however on this trip the refurbishment was complete and the rooms are now refreshed and modern. The air con works and is very quiet and the rooms are now even more comfortable. The breakfast, whilst quite pricey at over $40NZ has a massive range, and the spicy dumpling broth is quite simply spectacular - SPICY!!! « less

Whenever i come to Shanghai for business trip i will normally stay in Swisshotel. Was told by my colleagues that Hilton might be a better choice. I tried it and was totally disappointed, the room toilet was bad with no walk in shower, furnitures were old, limited television channels and on top of that i need to drag my luggage up the steps with the bell boy looking at me. That was in 2012.
This time round i book Hilton again as my colleague says you have renovated your rooms and they are in better shape. I was happy to take the chance and booked my trip this June till i come across the negative feedback from this site with the same comments that looks familar through my own experience. Hope that the negative comments i saw was overrated. With a one year past experience, i really hope that everything has changed since i need to stay here for 10 days. « less
