My husband and I have family in Aberdeen, and have stayed at this hotel on average 3 times a year for the last few years. It is in an excellent location just off Union Street and not too noisy, especially if you have a room facing the back. The rooms are spacious and comfortable ,especially given the keen pricing .Breakfast is as you would expect for a Holiday Inn-adequate,but good value for the price paid.Parking at the hotel is restricted, but we have always managed to find a space ,we are there at weekends. « less

Stayed here for a week whilst working out of Aberdeen. The access to Aberdeen nighlife is excellent and the commute out of Aberdeen is good. Hotel parking is limited but there is a multi-storey next door for £12 per day. Breakfast is the usual Express style but there is a reasonable bar and the rooms are everything you need. Would recommend for a business trip were access to restaurants within walking distance is an advantage. « less

We stayed at this hotel for one night while travelling around Scotland. They are a good 5-10 minute walk to where all the shops are. Union St is about 30 seconds away. Good parking facilities under the building, quiet accomodation, good breakfast, pub area, who could need anything more! Would happily stay here again. Thanks very much! « less

This Holiday Inn Express is exactly what you expect of the brand - well maintained, basic and effective. The room was spacious, the furniture modern and everything worked. The internet was free and fast, the lift was large, the price I paid was fair. I left a happy customer. It's not the Four Seasons in terms of facilities, but it is good value for money. There isn't a fitness club or gym, but there is a nearby Nuffield Facility which you can pay to join or try out a free trial if you have a UK phone number and register online.
The hotel location just off Union Street is perfect. There's pubs and cafe and restaurants close by, taxis are available easily, the staff are excellent. The front desk team could not be more helpful - they appeared genuine, sincere and very cheery. I saw Erin had a "staff of the year" certificate framed over the desk, and she was very good, but the whole team really shone.
The buffet was a standard Holiday Inn Express self service with a wide choice and appetising selections and newspapers. I couldn't fault anything really.... « less

Had read a bit about this hotel before we booked and it did say that there was a small car park, well we were lucky that someone came out as we were going in, so that was a good start. We went into the hotel and we were greated by friendly staff, the hotel looked clean and well kept, given our key to the room which was on the lower floor, when we got to our room it was a wee bit on the tightside ,as we had our kids with us(8 years and 10),if they had been any older we would have had SOME PROBLEMS GETTING MOVED,bathroom had a great shower(no bath) and was very clean ,this was the same for all the rooms, Buffet breakfast was mostly continetal, had scrambled eggs and sausages if you like a bigger breakfast,as we had a deal with our booking we got our breakfast for free ,so we were very happy with this, also the dining area was roomy and clean, this hotel is a great location for the shops and eating places ,and if you didn't have kids you had all the pubs and night clubs, so we kinda though that this hotel would be noisy, but this was not the case. This is a nice hotel especially what we paid ,would recommed this place to anyone who wants to shop till they drop or if you just want to get away for a day or two .we will be back again. « less

Thank you very much for an excellent and comprehensive review Babyjaney
Is great to see that you appreciated our central location and also the efforts of the staff. Apologies that you found the room to be a little on the small side, they can be a little tight when the sofa-beds are in use.
I'm also glad you enjoyed your breakfast but just for clarity, we never charge our guests for breakfast so you can be sure that there will be no additional costs regardless of the rate.

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Great site and made planning feel a little more controllable since is it my first time looking into planning group retreats. Thanks for being there." M.W. - Tampa, FL
"Our trip to Pittsburgh, including the stay at the Days Inn, was excellent. I'm very glad I found your web site and will both be using it in the future, and recommending to colleagues. The responsiveness of the site, and its ability to find us lodging even in the midst of the US Open, was wonderful. Independently, the best another teacher could do initially was secure a hotel about an hour away from downtown. She was also very pleased with our final accommodations." S.K. - Western New York
