The hotel was under renovations when we arrived. The staff made us welcome and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff informed me that the renovations will still continue for about 3 months. The renovation process is well organized. A lobby sign informed me what hours the contractors work. So, if you want a true relaxing stay with long mornings in bed - I would wait for another few months. If you just want to rest your head for the night and are up by 8am - this place will provide great value and service. I am certain that it will be a true gem once the renovations are done. The hotel has a nice in-door pool, which is uncommon for a RRI. « less

My husband and our two children stayed over night here on a weekend visit to Woburn. The staff was EXCELLENT. They seemed to go out of their way to make our stay pleasant. It is pet friendly which was an added bonus for my children, they loved seeing all the dogs. Unfortunately the other "guests" made us very uncomfortable. The entire floor we were staying on smelled like marijuana. I immediately told the front desk and they were very understanding and accomadating, offering to switch us to another floor. Unfortunately when I went back up to the room to discuss it with my husband, he has realized that our very large window could open, didn't lock, and didn't have a screen or safety rail. There were just too many things that made us uncomfortable staying there with small children (ages 1 and five years) « less

My husband and I stay at the Woburn Red Roof one night every week. Kelly and all the staff go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The rates are reasonable and the rooms and bathrooms (tub/shower, etc.) are always clean. All rooms have the normal amenities, a large screen TV and nice desk island that two people can sit at (and do puzzles on their laptop!). The king sized bedrooms have a microwave, refrigerator and safe (I cannot remember if the double bed rooms have these - we usually get king). The internet access is quick no matter what floor or distance from the main desk. The hotel is being renovated so the breakfast area, hallways and rooms are like new. It has a large indoor pool, but we've never used it. Visitors are quiet, considerate and friendly. Many workers and Boston visitors stay there, as the location is so convenient. There are many convenient, inexpensive and very good restaurants in the area. Coffee is available all day. The woman who maintains the breakfast area keeps it impeccably clean and supplied. Breakfast consists of bagels (and toasters), hot cereal packs, packaged muffins or Danish, coffee, a juice machine and condiment packets - butter, cream cheese, jellies and peanut butter. We like it - and especially the people! « less

First off, if you're just looking for a clean place to lay down your head with a few restaurants nearby, then this is the place at a great value. Now that said, this is a pet friendly hotel. If you're traveling with your pet, then this is the place for you. If you're allergic to animals, keep moving. I stayed at the hotel a few times for work (September 2012 - February 2013) and there's one issue that I ALWAYS noticed: every room I ever had didn't have a working ventilation in the bathroom :/ « less
