I stayed in this hotel because I generally trust the InterContinental brand. I was not at all disappointed by the hotel. The room had comfortable beds, was incredibly clean and the entire property was well maintained. Parking was a bit expensive but this seems to be standard in large cities. The hotel is on the edge of Old Montreal and it is an easy walk to anywhere in this neighborhood. With skill and patience you may also access the underground city directly from the hotel via an adjacent financial center. I would stay here again and can definitely recommend it. « less
“Nowhere near as good as theToronto Intercontinental”

This was our first visit to Montreal and after considering a number of possible hotel choices, decided on the Intercontinental specifically for its location near Old Montreal. This turned out to be an ideal place for us and we were extremely pleased with our choice. The hotel is conveniently located a short distance to Old Montreal and across the Convention Center with easy access to several metro stops. It is connected to a covered shopping complex with a bank, pharmacy, money exchange and small food court. It is also a reasonable walk to St. Denis Street and the Eaton Center area.
The hotel itself is quiet and comfortable despite some very busy traffic during the work week. Over the weekend traffic is noticeably reduced. Our deluxe room was large, clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we required. The entire hotel staff was helpful and accommodating, making our stay an especially pleasant one. All of the restaurants and coffee shops we visited were either an easy walk or short taxi ride away from the hotel. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Intercontinental again on our next visit. « less

The service at this hotel was above expectations. We had several issues with minor things missing, towels, coffee. One quick call and issue resolved in less then 5 minutes.
Beds are great. Always hot water. The location is good for accessing everything downtown accept public transit. Although a 5 minute walk is not much to complain about.
The pool has VERY short hours (930AM to 730PM), so we didn't get to use that.
I have to state this again, if it wasn't for the service we received, this would have been just another hotel stay like any other. « less

Stayed three nights here while attending a conference. This hotel is in a good location and the room was a good size and nicely appointed. However my main gripe was how dark the room was. The window was tucked away in the corner of the room and did not adequately illuminate the room. Worse still, and inexplicably there was no overhead light in the room. The lightswitch at the door turned on the desk light and then there is a bedside light. Both have energy saving bulbs and are woefully inadequate for the area of the room.. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"hank you! I will definitely be recommending your service to others I know. It made the confusing task of booking a hotel block easy as pie! I can't imagine how tedious it would have been to call each of the hotels- and who would want to when they all competed for our business instead? :)" C.T. - San Marcos, CA
"I didn't know such a service existed until I did a search on Google. This service saved my team so much time and effort! It is wonderful that this service is available." C.N. - Minneapolis, MN
