what a surprise! place looked ok on pictures! The staff was friendly, no complaints there! THE ENTIRE motel is OLD & due to be bulldozed down in a month with good reason-no mention of crumbling motel in reservation info. Bathroom & carpet fairly clean but REALLY OLD & PATCHED tub, ceiling, fixtures, etc. Carpet worn & bed terrible-we both had backaches after 1 night-kind of like sleeping on beat up old sofa bed.For price we expected lots better! No indications of any of this on info. « less

I wasn't expecting a lot out of this place, but even so, I was not prepared. When we arrived, we were given a room with two double beds with a door that we couldn't even open. We went back to the front desk, as we had reserved a king non-smoking. We were told that it wasn't there fault, that "Expedia" had overbooked them, it wasn't their fault and there was nothing they could do. After getting quite upset, they finally gave us another room, with a king bed. Well, at least the door opened... The bed was AWFUL-without question one of the worst I have ever slept on, as were the pillows. We could feel every spring in it. On top of that, other guests were incredibly loud. All in all this made for a sleepless night. After that, we decided we would rather drive five hours and go back home than be stuck in this hotel for another night. We went to check out and the management didn't so much as raise an eyebrow about us leaving a day early. They didn't even ask how our stay was, nothing. The entire experience was unprofessional and unenjoyable to say the least.
I don't care if you're on a budget, do not stay here, unless like I said you like sleeping on Medieval Torture Devices, which the Master's Inn tries to pass off as beds. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere, anywhere else. « less

First the good- location, location, location. It was very convenient for getting to the start of the Cooper Bridge Run. You are right over the bridge from charleston and the hotel is in a nice, safe area that is convenient to restaurants and great grocery stores. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The worst part about it is that everything is so old and out dated, that even if it is clean- it looks dirty. The carpet and tub were the kind you wanted to keep your flip flops on for. The bed spread, fixtures, furniture,& heating/air unit looks like it might be original with the building. Normally the rooms are as low as $40 I think. And with that- you get what you get. We paid over $110 for our room since it was a special event weekend. It wasn't a room we wanted to spend any more time in than we had to. « less
