This is an older Quality Inn (looks like it was a Microtel when initially built) but the staff makes the difference. The lady at the front desk when I checked in was super. She accompanied me to my room, got the light on for me (it had been turned off next to the bed so when you came in the light switch at the door did nothing), turned on the air conditioning, and made sure everything was in order. Shortly after I had settled in she called to be sure the phone worked and to say she had just made hot chocolate chip cookies and would bring me some if I wanted. She provided me with tips on some unique stores at the nearby mall and on restaurants. In addition to the great staff, I appreciated the good lighting in the room, the cleanliness of the room, the comfortable bed, and the free and easy to use Internet access. Although the property is close to many restaurants (Cracker Barrel is right next door) and a mall, the room was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again. « less

They let us check in at 7 am which was helpful since we drove overnight. I would definitely stay again.. only flaw was I seen hairs but again I am very ocd. « less

I just needed a stop-over night on a long trip. I was traveling by myself and arriving about 10 p.m. so didn't need a lot of luxuries. This hotel was very clean and I had a fairly large suite for a very low price.
They do allow smoking in some rooms. I had reserved a non-smoking room. As I entered the room I was assigned, the smell of smoke was horrible. I went back to the desk and the very nice young lady apologized and gave me an upgrade.
My room was very spacious and comfortable. Hotel employees were very nice. « less

We stayed here over the weekend and it was a pretty good experience, overall. The first room we were given smelled as if someone had been smoking in it, even though it was a Non-Smoking room. The desk clerk (Rebecca, I think?) was just the sweetest thing and promptly moved us to another room, which was much better. She also gave us some great recommendations and directions to local restaurants. When I walked in the lobby to request a room change there was an older lady ranting and raving at the desk clerk about being a member of the such-and-such club and demanding some sort of upgrade, and saying that the desk clerk should have *recognized* her when she came in! Every third word out of her mouth seemed to be a swear word....real ladylike gal. Anyway, I kept waiting on the young lady at the desk to lose her cool or to burst into tears from the verbal beatdown she was taking...but it never happened. She stayed professional, kept a smile on her face, and dealt with the uncouth heifer. She handled the situation far better than I would have. Bottom line here is: Fairly average motel, clean rooms, pretty good breakfast offerings and great staff! « less
