Stayed at the Courtyard Indy Downtown with a group for a business meeting. This is a large facility and there are also other Marriott properties nearby.
Enjoyed the upgraded Courtyard layout and amenities. Room was great - quiet - and refreshed.
Quick walk over to the NCAA facilities as well as to numerous restaurants and venues downtown. Found it a safe area to even be walking around late at night.
I'd certainly choose to stay here again - though with all the other Marriott properties if you're a Marriott frequent guest you may want to select one based on price. « less

Stayed here over the mini-marathon weekend. We got there late so rooms were by the elevator. Bit noisy. We were to stay at the fairfield inn which is far better however was shifted here. the Manager on duty didnt have all the details with the reservation ( free breakfirst ). Courtyard doesnt have free breakfirst, but next door Springhill suites does so we were able to use it. Rooms are clean, well kept.
The valet parking systems is extremely slow. You need to wait at least over 15 minutes to get the car from Valet specially if they are busy. Not the most efficient. I would stay here, but if you get a choice and the prices are similar, pick Fairfield inn which is next door. « less

Attending conference at Convention Centre so this was a good place to stay although it is quite a hike through the maze of corridors, switching lifts, etc. As the weather was lousy, we appreciated the indoor route to the Convention Centre. From dropping off the car for valet parking ($4 difference in self-parking), checking in and to picking up the car, I can't praise the staff enough. They were polite and helpful without appearing obsequious. The room with two beds was big enough for two without bumping into one another and the bathroom was a decent size. The hotel was clean, did not look worn from conventions or tourist traffic. It's a pity the weather was so wet, windy and cold so it deterred trips down to the very close river. « less

I stayed here for one night while I was in town for the 500 Festival Mini Marathon. Since it is right near all of the festivities for the race, I paid a premium for the location, but I recognize how supply and demand works. The room was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. I found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that the hotel made special accommodations for an early breakfast for the runners. I didn't take advantage of it, but I thought it was a nice touch. « less

Upon checking into the Courtyard I took a seat due to the long check in line. I noticed a very nice gentleman walking around assisting customers, I witnessed him deliver Starbucks to guest as well.
When it was my turn to check-in I was told the rooms were not ready... So I walked next to TGI Fridays. Upon returning the line was even longer, but I patiently waited and the nice gentleman I witnessed earlier was now at the front desk, his name is Walter B. Walter was very friendly and had a great personality despite the long check in line and a few eye rolls he endured while assisting others. His customer service was spectacular.
I would like to mention the other young ladies as well who were assisting customers.
After traveling all day and getting to your destination dealing with a friendly individual, kinda makes up for all the crap you had to go through to arrive. So thanks Walter B. « less
