Nice hotel, busy with tons of tourists from all over the world, which is good.. The staff works hard to provide excellent service. The basic rooms are small and the air conditioners are loud, but overall not bad for downtown Manhattan. Excellent views of the WTC and all that's going on. Hey, they provide Lavazza coffee in the rooms. Elevator wait times during check in and check out can be long. Overall, not bad. A lot of people seemed to be using the pool and gym. Not sure it's worth the price, unless you get an upgrade to a suite which is much better.
If you use valet parking ($55) you car is not parked the hotel. they drive it to a lot on the other side of town and you need to give them 1/2 hour to get the car. « less

My partner and I have just returned from New York and stayed at the Millenium for four nights. The reason for visiting New York was to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday. I emailed the hotel in advance to request a high floored room so that we had a good view of Manhattan. The Front Office Manager, Darren Brown, immediately emailed back and upgraded us to a room on the 40th floor which was in fact a junior suite! On arriving at our room we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a hand written note from Darren. The room had stunning views overlooking the Freedom Tower and ground zero and breathtakingly amazing views of the Empire State Building in the distance and of Manhattan in general. The room was very well maintained and spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable, the lifts fast and efficient and the staff friendly where no request was too much trouble. We had breakfast on one occasion in the hotel restaurant, the choice was either Continental or American Breakfast which consisted of a help yourself buffet with cereal, fruit (dried and fresh), bagels, cheese, yogurt and an American Breakfast (bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, pancakes etc). The cost for this quality breakfast for two was $70 including a tip. We would highly recommend the Millenium and when we return to New York in the near future we will not hesitate to stay there again. « less

My friend and I were visiting New York for three days and had one night at the Millenium. The room and facilities were great, only negative would be the drinks machine, a little awkward. Very comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, etc. We had to call maintenance as the lights blew but reception were quick to send someone to fic problem. We didn't have breakfast or any meals at hotel as we wanted to experience the many fine food eateries. There is a lovely small Italian eatery around the corner, family run and appeared to be extremely popular with the local New Yorkers. The staff in the Millenium were lovely as were New Yorkers in general. Defintely recommend this hotel. « less

Amazing views, whether you get a room looking east toward the WTC or north (my personal favorite) where you can see the Empire State Building and a great close-up of the Woolworth Building. Just blocks to Battery Park and the ferries out to Liberty and Ellis Islands, a block to the subway lines 1-3. Get a room above the 38th or so for the best views. Amazing service and concierge personnel. « less
