Hotel is a good place to stay if you are going to VVC (VDNKh) expo. It is something like 20 minutes by taxi in the morning. Price is reasonable for Moscow. Good breakfast, Pretty clean. Be careful not to take standard single room, because windows are facing rail road container terminal with according sountrack. Though couple of goodnight beers solved this for me. Dissapointments: 1) AC in the room - damn noisy and unefficient. I think it will be a disaster in summer. 2) You cannot charge anything for the room account: minibar has to be pre-payed, loundry to be payed before getting you stuff back, tooth paste etc. 3) They charge you for the stay at check-in imidiatelly. 4) 3 elevators are not enough, took me 15 minutes to go down for breakfast. 5) vanity set in the bathroom is of poor quality, take your own.
There can be minor if it is not your first time in Moscow, but informed means armed :) « less

My room's ventilation did not work at all . As a result, my room was too hot. Luckily, it was possible to open the window. Breakfast was good in variety. Gym and swimming pool available. Lobby bar looks great (awesome chandelier, paintings), but is expensive and full of smoke. Cost to Sheremetevo airport by taxi 2500 RBL. to Belarusskiy railway station 1000 RBL. « less

my second stay in this hotel and I found that not a lot had changed. English is understood, but not by everyone. The staff is in the main helpful (one exception was in the bar). The rooms are large by 4 star standards, include an old-fashoined TV with cable (and some English channels). The is no kettle in the room, and this is not an option that you can request. The towels are not large (nor particularly soft), although adequate for one person. The power socket is above the desk, so plugging in the laptop was easy. WiFi is free but slow. Breakkfast is only ok, with the seating arrangements rather cramped. There are several small tables (1 or 2 person) but if these are full, then you may find yourself sharing a table for breakfast with several other guests (most of whom only speak Russian). The location of the hotel is between two Metro stations, so you are well served for transport, although with the cold weather, and the fact that our seminar was in the same hotel, I did not leave from the day I arrived (Sunday) until the day I flew home (Thursday) Will probably return, as the banquet staff were extremely helpful in our seminar. « less

I stayed here during a business forum and I generally liked the hotel, although there is room for improvements. So, step by step, my view on it.
Pros: 1. The rooms are spacious enough and clean. 2. The architecture design is original. It's my first time in a hotel where the rooms are situated like in an american prison from a movie (see the picture). 3. The surrounding area is quiet and not far from the underground station. Although, not the city center. 4. The staff is helpful. 5. Safe box in the room.
Cons: 1. The breakfast is not bad but for a 4 star hotel the choice could be better. 2. The free WI-FI connectioin is so slow so I can say it almost did not exist. I could hardly open my e-mail. 3. The taxi service providers that collaborate with the hotel are expensive. For example, we payed from the Domodedovo airport to the hotel 1,600 RUR (ordered from the airport) and from the hotel to the airport (ordered at the hotel) - 2,800 RUR. In the last case the car was more comformtable, but we didn't have a choice and certainly would prefer some cheaper options.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for business purposes; it has really better rates than various other 4-star hotels in the town. For tourists it is not convenient because it is a 10 minutes taxi ride (30 minutes in Moscow traffic) away from the Red Square. I stayed at the top 12th floor and had a very good view over the city. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, but the in-room decoration was not properly planned, eg you cannot watch TV while in the bed. The lobby bar has limited variety of drinks but a good choice of cigars. The breakfast had various cold choices and a hot-food bar is ready for you to cook eggs and omlettes to your choice. In general it is a pleasant and quiet hotel to stay during business travels. « less
