Stayed here for a business weekend in early April, 2013. After reading reviews I was concerned that I would be in the "other" building. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in the main tower. I had a 2 room mini-suite. One room had a couch (flattens out to make a bed), TV, desk, wet bar (no fridge) and coffeemaker. The other room had a king size bed and another TV (both get lots of channels). The bathroom had the sink in a common area and the toilet, tub/shower in a separate room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The heat/air conditioner worked very well (though it made a humming noise at all times). There is a nice looking small pool though I didn't use it (it was filled with kids visiting for some kind of tournament). Food is a whole separate problem. The attached restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. Dinner on Friday night was only in the bar. The restaurant was not open. Food was okay but it IS in a bar. We received a voucher for a breakfast buffet. On Saturday the buffet was pretty good and was served in the restaurant. On Sunday the breakfast buffet was served in the bar - not a great smell to have with your eggs. There is a Subway within walking distance that appears to be open late. Other wise, if you have a car, drive east on the expressway about 1/2 to 1 mile. Shopping center on your left has quite a few good restaurants. Overall, I was pleased with the hotel itself. « less

I've stayed in the hotel before, and if you get a room in the main building it's really not a bad place. But this time I was given a room in what I would describe as the outside motel section. That area does not have a nice feel to it, and on the last morning I was woken very early by what I assume were dumpster trucks. The motel rooms are basic but functional and I at least found the bed comfortable and good TV service on a flat screen at TV. There was also an unpleasant smell outside the broom by the pool which was off-putting if I was even thinking of a swim.
The Internet connection is also weird. I could not get a new iPad to connect to the wireless, but I was able to get a laptop to do so. The user interface for that wifi connection looks like a 10year old kids first efforts at a web page. E.g. "Please enter the number 1 in this box". What? I was genuinely a bit worried that the wifi might be a fake honeypot. « less

I spent 2 days at the hotel to attend a nearby conference. They have a free shuttle from San Jose Airport. Room (suite) was very spacious with overall good amenities. Bed was comfortable. Lots of lighting in the room. Breakfast buffet had a diverse selection. Easy access to Hwy 101. No restaurants within walking distance (other than Starbucks and Subway) but hotel had its own restaurant (I didn't eat there other than for breakfast). « less

This hotel seems to be in its golden years. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are small, but the bed was comfortable. The location is marginal, kind of an industrial area. I occasionally hear jet traffic from the San Jose airport fly by. Some road noise too.
Positives: Friendly staff and wifi seems to work pretty well. Negatives: Dated, location, small, musty smell in halls.
I would say it is a $99 night kind of place. « less

My company held a workshop here and I brought my family along to hang out in the area and then we would leave for a long weekend. The rooms are expensive, which is to be expected for the area what surprised me was the dates and old feel to the rooms. The conference room was very old and you could see and feel it has been awhile since it has been updated. The banquet employees are wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel staff were not as helpful, my husband was in charge of entertaining our child whiled worked and asked for some information on the general area and the desk clerk was very rude. The restaurant was nice, breakfast was nice. « less
