We arrived at the San Diego airport at 9pm. It was for 1 night stay before our cruise. We went to the where the shuttle buses pick you up. We waited for 1/2 hour before we realize that maybe the bus does not come without us calling. We asked some air attendants that were on our Alaska Airlines flight to call for us but she said it wasnt necessary cause those buses come all the time from Four Points. After another 15 mins we got someone else to call because it was obvious the bus was not coming. We were freezing and tired and starving. The man that phones for us said he couldn't get through. It went to voice mail. So we ended up taking a cab that costs $40.00. As the cab pulled up to the front of the hotel so did the shuttle bus. Don't know where he was but we were told we had to call for it to pick us up at the airport. I asked to have the $40.00 credited to me but there was no manager on duty so they left him a message to get in touch with us tomorrow. We were starving and the restaurant was closed because we waited at the airport so long(an hour). So we had to take another cab to get food. The next morning at 10am the manager did not called so I called him. He was in a meeting for an hour then I called back then he was busy. The front desk guy said that he will check with him. No one called me so I called him back and was told that too bad there is a shuttle and you should of called to come pick you up. We told him we did call and it went to answering machine. No one picked up. The manager at no time talked to me for anything. It was 11;00 and we were checking out at 11:30. So they offered us Breakfast at the restaurant or 400 points.I said we are leaving in 30 mins we can't eat this fast. Plus 400 points is a joke. Why was this not offered to us at 10:00 when I started calling or even last night. No where on their website does it say to call for shuttle to pick you up and then we told him that we did call and no one answered. This is the worst service of any Sheraton hotel I have experienced. I have been a Starwood member for 10 years. There is a lot of choices in San Diego and I would not stay here again. Its in the middle of nowhere and costs a fortune in cabs to get anywhere. Service is terrible. The manager did not even have the courtsey to speak to us. Plus I wasted money on a cab to get there and to go eat somewhere else. The decor is something out of a sixties movie. « less

I am a platinum member of SPG with a lifetime Gold. This means I have hundreds of stays with this hotel brand. The shuttle was junked there were mystery holes in the seats. The hotel decor is like something out of a teen spring break movie tired broke down. There were trash bags and food trays in the hall. The room well I slept on top of the comforter and used my coat to cover myself. They manage the location like a rouge roach coach. There were business people, couples, and foreigners waiting for room till 8:00 PM they had booked a birthday party for a 15 year old girl and gave all the rooms away knowing they had booking for those guest. The birthday girls dad had his guest checkout Kate and then argued the charges cause his guest had complaints about there rooms lol. This place is a dump don't do it. The 9 hole gold course is a joke not even worthy of put put. « less

We stayed for one night before a cruise on points and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Airport pick up during rush hour was fast and friendly, and check in was a breeze, and the clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and the bed comfortable and the bathroom roomy, and plenty of hot water. Even with a big youth group staying the room and the hotel was very quiet and we a good night sleep. Business center worked well, the pool and hot tub was enjoyable and i used them twice. The shuttle to the cruise terminal was changed to an earlier time as per our request with no trouble, all very professional. The only thing we did not like that much was the location, if you are without a car there is nothing in the area to walk to, but they do shuttle. « less

I was here for two nights (Friday/Saturday) for business. While the driver was very nice, it took 45 minutes to be picked up from the airport followed by a 15 minute drive to the hotel. (You call from the airport when you arrive.) Though the lobby was very busy with a large, noisy event, the check in process was smooth and the staff was helpful and polite. The layout of the hotel is very strange (think a large 3 story open 'X') and the decor is VERY weary. My room had stained, wrinkled and torn carpet. The desk chair was torn, the desk itself appeared to be "repurposed," the club chair was stained, and the windows didn't open. When I scheduled the shuttle ride back to the airport, I discovered that the driver would be on lunch break when I needed to go, so I either had to depart 2 hours earlier than necessary or take a taxi (estimated at $50). Apparently, there is one driver and no one covers his break. Will I return? No. « less

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We regret to hear you will not be returning to our hotel. We agree that the soft goods in the guest rooms need a refresh, and we are in the midst of doing so. All soft goods should be replaced by the end of the year. We will be discussing our shuttle service and hours in our next team meeting. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you.
