Well how shall I start? first let me say that the staff here was great. The lady at the front desk was nice and all my requests were well responded to. That being said there were some definite issues with the hotel. The first was that the room was old. Cracking paint and rust also did not smell really good although it appeared fairly clean and there were no bugs. Second I noticied that there was no clock in room. This bothered me because I was in Charlotte for the purpose of a job interview. I called the front desk and reported problem and i was told that there should be a clock in the room but they would have maintenence bring me one. This happened however the alarm feature on the clock i was given did not work. So i requested a wakeup call for 6:00 am. Call came when it was supposed to. I got up and took a shower no problems with the shower worked fine plenty of hot water. However once i got out of the shower I noticied there was no hair dryer in the room and i had forgotten to pack mine. I called the front desk again and was told that they had a hair dryer however i would have to come get it myself cause no staff available to bring. So i had to walk down to lobby with wet hair. I also noticied that there was very limited cable service but tv worked just fine. The bed was pretty comfortable and I got a pretty good nights sleep. What I would say overall is that this is an ok option if you simply need a bed for the night are looking for something super inexpensive(49.99) and this would probably be best for men travelling alone. Again I would like to thank the staff for being friendly and giving the best customer service that they were able. « less

Smells old and smoking-even in a non smoking room. Paking is right in front of your room, so you can hear car doors slam all night long. Bathroom drain was clogged. Hotel is right off interstate so it is very dangerous to get off a four lane highway to pull into hotel. Hotel was cheap and last minute. We had reservations for 2 nights but could not bear to stay another night and cut our losses. « less

I paid 120.00 a night to stay here for the last night of the DNC. I tried to get a room here the night before but could not afford the 300.00 rate. The rate here should be 25.00. The rooms are old and cleaned as well as can be when they have paint peeling. The tub was moldy and black and nasty. The breakfast a joke. Front desk below average. The A/C did work so that was a plus. and the bed acceptable but just a gross nasty room overall, as well as the property itself. It was a shame they were able to gouge people 300 bucks because the DNC took up all the nice hotels. Shows you were the owners priority is ...makin money for himself and not putting it into his hotel. « less

I found this location after searching for an inexpensive option near the airport, as I needed just somewhere to stay overnight with two kids prior to taking a flight in the morning. I didn't want or need anything fancy, and this certainly fit that bill. Room overall was pretty clean and servicable for a night, but the pretty loud air conditioning unit in the room going on and off all night, together with the constant humm and honking from the adjacent highway, made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. It was also extra challenging since the mattress felt very old and soft, so was difficult to get comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was pretty basic. I was disappointed that the food was put away at a relatively early 8:30, which hadn't been mentioned at check in time. « less

The price was average. The room was dirty with mold on the shower walls. The heater made enough noise to wake you. When I called the desk at 9 in the evening for extra towels I had to wait for the guard to come on duty to unlock the storage room and deliver them. He was wearing a bullet proof vest. With little or no rest we left in the morning and were gratefull to be gone! « less
