The Marquette Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Deluxe oversized guestrooms (450 sqft and larger)and superior service make this hotel a favorite amongst travelers. We are part of the IDS Center complex which links guests to over 65 blocks of shops, restaurants, and entertainment via the skyway system.
Rising 50 floors above downtown Minneapolis, Windows on Minnesota is the premier banquet facility. While enhancing guests with outstanding food and service, Windows on Minnesota provides a spectacular view of the city with floor to ceiling windows that will make the perfect background for your group. There is nothing else like it in the state. In addition to Windows on Minnesota, we also have 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting space to offer.
Basil’s Restaurant, open breakfast and lunch provides a mouth-watering selection of International flavors. With a dinning room and terrace overlooking the Crystal Court, it is the perfect place for any meal of the day. The Marq VII Lounge is a sophisticated bar and lounge that offers light snacks and full cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a full dinner menu. For those that would prefer to stay in the room we also provide room service until 12am.

Well - we stayed in the Presidential Suite - so I'm afraid it won't get better than that. Fortunately, our visit was for an event, and our guests had stayed in both Executive level and Regular rooms as well -- all with similar feedback. If you can afford it - do the Suite, or if not that - I'd recommend the Executive level rooms, just for the convenience of the Exec Level floor 'niceties' they offer. To be honest though, so far as spending the extra for the Exec Level for just the food aspect....don't bother. Not that the food isn't good, just that you're downtown Minneapolis already, so there are a lot of options if you wish to explore. Additional points - the service was of course great (what you'd expect anyway). The food at Basil's was amazing; they also catered our event. The hotel itself does fell a tiny bit disconnected just because the lobby isn't much of a lobby really, the hotel bar (also great for sitting with a nice cocktail), is sort of off in another corner, and Basil's Restaurant is up a couple floors and down a hall. It's not an annoyance or an inconvenience, just "feels" disconnected is all. Overall - great hotel in Downtown proper, on the mall, convenient and safe for walking and centrally located. « less

Stayed at this Hilton for a quick trip on business. The amenities are excellent and there is ample room for same-day huddles. The staff is attentive and were helpful providing a few extras like cutlery and bowls when delivery was ordered.
The Hilton here is polished and there were very few signs of wear. The one thing I will for all hotels is the simple fact that the TVs take forever to change channels. One day, after all is said and done, all I will ask for is the television to change channels in less than 3 seconds with each button press. First world problems. « less

I stayed in this hotel over the weekend. The room is large and clean. The staff is nice. The hotel WiFi is operated by AT&T. Since I have AT&T internet at home so I can log in to the hotel WiFi network for free. The hotel is only few blocks from the light rail station which can get to the airport and mall of america.
I have nothing to complain about the hotel. However the Minneapolis downtown area is kind of dead during the weekend daytime. There is not many people even in the downtown shopping malls. The downtown is just not that big. I would think all the downtown hotels can be called good location. « less

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 15 or so years, but have not had an opportunity to be in Minneapolis for awhile. I was most pleased that not only was is as great as I recalled but actually better then my expectations. The staff was truly professional and genuinely friendly and helpful - not forced like so many places now, from check in to the housekeeping staff truly wonderful. The location is perfect no matter what location in the city center one needs to visit and close to many great places to eat, from convenient locations in the atrium on the first floor to many of my favorites on and off the walking mall next to the hotel . The room was so comfortable and relaxing - the bed was wonderful to sleep in. The desk was perfect to work from and since I travel a lot the hotel room is really my office and this one just work so well for me. The cleanliness from the bathroom, room and the corridors was exceptional. I usually do not take a car when I am in the city center, but needed to on this trip. The garage is convenient with easy access to the lobby via elevator, it can be a little challenging to get into during rush hour traffic - but there was a policemen directing traffic that was accommodating to get me, so this was well orchestrated and not a problem. I will not hesitate to stay here again for business or pleasure and highly recommend this hotel. « less

I'd agree with other reviewers that while not really boutique in feel (it feels like a normal, higher end business hotel), The Marquette certainly delivers. My king room was surprisingly large, certainly larger than most king rooms I've stayed in. Not only that, but it was well laid out so that from both the bed and desk, the TV was easily accessible. The front desk staff was pleasant when I arrived rather late in the evening, which I always appreciate. My stay was comped as part of a conference I was participating in, so I can't speak to value, but if it is in line with other comparable hotels (Marriott, Sheraton, etc.), it is certainly worth it, particularly given the location in downtown Minneapolis. « less
