This Hampton Inn was our last stay on our annual trip south. I was immediately impressed by the postive attitude, friendliness and efficiency of the checkin personnel. A few minutes after I arrived in my room I received a call from the front desk asking me if I was pleased. This was the first call from a Hampton Inn front desk on this trip that I've been asked that question. I was impressed. The hotel is conveniently located on a very busy street in the heart of downtown Suffolk, nearby several busy restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean and spacious with an impressive fitness room that overlooks the pool area a floor below. My only disappointment and it is minor, was that there was no place other than the coffee table to place my suitcase when I got into my large suite. I would think that such a large room a bench or something could have been placed at the foot of the bed to accomodate a suitcase. Other than that small item, our stay was good. « less

Peaceful location....southern-hospitality feel. Wonderful staff and clean room. Rates were fair to good. Always satisfied with this hotel chains free breakfast choices (varies slightly from day-to-day).
