Set in a prestigious location at the very centre of the Opera Quarter, Hotel Ambassador Paris is just five minutes walk from the Opera House, two blocks away from Galeries Lafayette, close to world class shopping and boutiques, and a short distance to the business district and Stock Exchange. Overlooking Boulevard Haussmann the Hotel Ambassador is at the very heart of Parisian life and an integral part of the Paris skyline.
With Art Deco beginnings the Hotel has retained a 1920's spirit and this is reflected in the high glass ceilings, gold embossed columns and dark wood tones. Period furniture adorned with sumptuous fabrics alongside contemporary lighting and vibrantly coloured objects d'art creates a harmonious and convivial atmosphere.
Every area of the Hotel Ambassador has been thoughtfully enhanced with a tradition of comfort and luxury. From the lobby and the quiet galleries subtly lit with Asian lanterns, to the glass panes covering the meeting rooms and Lindbergh Bar that transform the ambience with the changing light of the seasons, the mood is muted and elegant. The stylish and spacious guest rooms and suites are individually appointed with contemporary and Art Deco themes to create a welcoming environment in which to retreat from the busy city below.

I travelled with my husband and stayed in this hotel since it is close to the shopping area. We prepaid for early check in but somehow it took us 20mins to wait for the luggages, (it is a waste to prepaid even the room is ready because we were still unable to rest without getting our luggages!!!) we complained but the lady at the front desk and the manager just apologised but don't feel sorry at all from their faces. We found a pack of opened snack from the previous guest inside the mini bar, housekeeping just came and took it and that's it! We didn't complain this time because it is absolutely no point to waste our time at all. However, we met Thierry who is the ONLY truly friendly staff at the concierge, he is very informative and attentive, specials thanks to this gentleman who makes us wanted to come back to stay regardless other bad experiences we had in radisson blu. « less

stayed July 2011.
check-in took awhile. room we had felt slightly aged in carpet and furniture, but this could be part of the parisian theme of the past. beautiful little balcony with a view of the Eiffel tower.
breakfast was amazingly packed, full house. regular breakfast spread.
location is great. literally on the same street as the galleries lafayette, walking distance to neighbouring sights on foot (15++mins) all the way down to La Seine and Louvre or by metro which is very close. « less

The Ambassador is located on Boulevard Haussman...named for Baron Haussman...commissioned by Napoleon III to modernize the city of Paris. The architecture is unique and we found the Ambassador to be unique as well. Clean, pleasant sleeping rooms, comfortable lobby. Cordial front desk personnel. Christine was especially pleasant and helpful at the Concierge desk. The location of the hotel is very good...near to the Paris Opera, Galleries Lafayette, and many, many restaurants, brasseries and shopping in general. The Metro is about two blocks away. We would certainly recommend the Radisson Blu Ambassador Hotel. The only negatives about the hotel were the minimum number of towels and soap that were placed in our room by the chambermaid. A phone call to the front desk remedied the situation, however we had to rely on that process a few times during our one week stay. All in all, a most enjoyable visit. « less

The Radisson Blu Hotel Ambassador is truly a 5 star hotel. From the moment you arrive and the doorman greets you, you know you are someplace special. You arrive at the front desk and are greeted by a terrific hotel staff. I was fortunate to meet hotel desk clerk "Jonathan" who spoke perfect English and after my initial checkin Jonathan never failed to greet me by my name. For 3-days every time I passed the desk Jonathan would ask if everything was good, did I need anything, was i enjoying my time in Paris, etc. He was sincere, friendly, helpful, and totally charming and made me feel truly welcomed. This can also be said of all of the other front desk staff that I had contact with. The lobby area is lovely but when you get to your room you are greeted with a huge room with a separate toilet area, lovely sink and shower room that is spotless, and a sleeping area with amazing linens, incredible bed and total peace and quiet. I especially enjoyed the in-room tea pot complete with a selection of coffee, teas and hot chocolate as well as a well stocked mini-frig. I was escorting a group thru France and England and everyone agreed that our stay at this hotel was perfect. The hotel location is perfect- two blocks from the Opera House, one block from the two largest department stores in Paris, outstanding restaurants in every direction, walking distance to most sites and tube stations within 2 blocks of the hotel.
I look forward to any opportunity to return to this property. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Your online bidding system saved me hours and hours of phone calls trying to find a hotel for my family event in the Twin Cities the weekend the Republican National Convention begins. I had been calling places to no avail and did not relish the thought of calling the entire phone directory's worth of hotels. So this was great! Thank you." N.D. - Minneapolis, MN
"Wedding planning is time consuming enough. This made the most use of my time without having to make mutiple phone calls. Thanks so much!" V.L. - Tempe, AZ
