As with all Aloft hotels, they're on the funky side (neon lighting, fun elevayor floors) and make amazing use of space so the rooms don't feel small. This location really outdid itself on service--we've been to 5-star spots where employees weren't as on the ball. Great experience! « less

For anyone visiting Manhattan or Brooklyn, this is a great place to stay. It's only one stop over from Manhattan on the train and is in the heart of a vibrant, fun authentic neighborhood.
The actual hotel room was very nice - the bed, bathroom, etc. were all great. My only complaints was the paper-thin walls. You could hear conversations all night, and the cleaning lady who enthusiastically knocks on every door in the morning.
They warned me that I might hear a little music from the lounge next door. That was an understatement. I might as well have slept in the lounge. Awful. The...

We stayed in this hotel as we were fooled by the positive reviews here. Don't get fooled by the positive reviews. They are most probably fake. Also hotel management reports negative reviews and remove them from Tripadvisor. I hope my review stays here.
This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in my whole life. And believe me I stayed in many hotels all over the world. The area is very unsafe and there are shady people around. Hotel is infront of a construction area and it is impossible to sleep. Staff is very rude and unhelpful. Rooms are small, aircondition is like from 60's and very noisy. Spend your money somewhere else and don't ruin your location like we did. « less

There are limited choices for hotels in Brooklyn, and the neighborhoods are not well connected by subway although there are a lot of buses. There are 3 hotels on Dufferin near Fort Green Park. This one is quite nice but, of course, NYC expensive. The immediate neighborhood is decidedly mixed but safe. It is near downtown Brooklyn (think Shake Shack!). Going east from the hotel, it is like 2 worlds. Out DeKalb is gentrified, gentrifying - coffee places (try Bittersweet), restaurants, etc. Two blocks over out Myrtle gentrification has not struck. The park in between is a very pleasant place to hang out. There are two nearby subway stops that get you to NYC quickly. The average rating is due to the relatively high cost - yes, I know it is NYC - but there isn't much to do around the area; in hotel no restaurant, limited bar - but lobby espresso machine good. But rooms are very nice and it is better than the nearby choices where I have also stayed. « less

"Thanks so much for your help. Your website was a lifesaver as I had called that hotel the day before I logged on and was offered a block for almost twice the price!" R.D. - Oak Brook, IL
"My middle school band and I have been extremely pleased with the service we received from your company. I had many choices for hotels very quickly and the hotels I considered were all excellent. Even after I selected our hotel, your agents stayed in contact with me periodically and even arranged a free upgrade of my room to a suite! What a nice surprise! I plan to book my next trip through them and would highly recommend them to my friends for their group travel plans. Thanks for a great experience." C.C. - Grove Hill, AL
