We stayed here while attending a family memorial service. A few weeks in advance, I booked the handicapped room and a roll a way bed since the room only had one full size bed and I was traveling with my elderly father. The room looked very dated and a bit tired. Worn carpet, holes, etc. It did have small fridge and small microwave, both sitting on the floor near the sliding glass door. The "handicapped" adjustments to the room included a bar in the bathtub and a bar over the toilet. Not much help and not up to what other hotels offer for $136.00. We arrived at 12:30 and were told to come back as check in was 3pm. When we returned, I asked to have the roll a way sent to the room. They said they'd get someone to get it some time in the next hour. I came back 1 1/2hr later to tell them we hadn't gotten the bed delivery. They apologized and said someone would take care of it soon. I explained my dad needed to take a nap and the high beds were difficult for him.We visited with family who were also at the hotel, and by8:15, still no bed. I went to the desk. The desk person argued with me and accused me of never having talked to anyone about the bed. Obviously, no customer service skills here. A maintenance person overhead the conversation and got the bed. He was very nice and apologized. Next day, a few hours after leaving the hotel, we discovered my dad had left his shoes in the room. I called the hotel, they said no body could check and to call back the next day. I explained that my dad had hide $150 in his shoes (stupid, yes, but he's 85 and I never know what he's going to do) and he was concerned. A couple calls and a couple days later, they found the shoes. Of course, no money in the shoes. Next visit, I'll stay some place else. « less

I have been staying at this hotel for the past month for business. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My schedule changes from week to week and June has been there every step of the way to ensure that I have a place to stay. Happy is there in the evening when I check in and she greets me with a smile and then checks on me to make sure that the room is good. I have enjoyed my stay so if you are looking for a clean room and friendly staff, I recommend this hotel. « less

Overall my experience was superior to my expectations, because some of the reviews I had read left me thinking I could do better. I found these reviews to be mostly irrelevent, although there were a few minor things that could have been better - fresh towels were not delivered one day; the free breakfast grew boring and could have used some diversity; the cleaning staff left my door unlocked several days in a row although I had brought it to Terry's attention at the front desk. My refrigerator was noisy too, as others have noted, but I got used to it. During the 13 days I was there, there was plenty of hot water but the water pressure in the shower was less than adequate. All in all, though, my stay there was pleasent. Not 5 star, but I would stay there again. « less

The rates are reasonable and the rooms are clean. The location was convenient for my purposes (training at the nearby fairgrounds). The microwave and fridge are useful - and needed because the breakfast is lousy. Waffles looked good (I did not have one), but there was little else to choose from and the eggs were not cooked enough or hot enough. You can hear some traffic noise, but it is not severe. Overall, the Best Western served its purpose and the customer service was decent enough, but nothing outstanding about this hotel. « less
