I stay in Marriott's every week. I stayed here for the first time because it is hard to beat a price below $90.00 for a hotel these days. It is on the east side on Atlanta maybe 15 miles or so. This is one of the older Springhill Suites but it is still in good shape. It is typical of this chain, good rooms, decent breakfast, good overall experience for a no frills location. There are numerous restaurants within 5 miles or so. The only negative is there are no restaurants you can walk to. I would probably stay here again when I have business on the east side. « less

We stay here a couple of nights every spring. Just a couple of years ago the hotel was remodeled and it is still in nice shape and well maintained. The breakfast is typical of the chain and is well operated and stocked. Rooms are clean and the property grounds are clean. However, on this trip our room had only 2 towels and no soap, shampoo or conditioner on check-in day. I went down to the desk and asked for a 3rd towel and some soap and was rather rudely asked "how many are in your room?". I replied there were 2 in my room and my wife, like many women, uses 2 towels so we would need 3 towels. I was given the soap and towel. The next morning I discover the 3rd towel was in worse shape than the rags I use for car washing. It was thread bare in several places and the hem was coming out of one end where it was frayed. The next day the maid service left fresh, nice towels for the next morning along with more soap, shampoo and conditioner. Our experience was not the end of the world and did not ruin our trip but it did make us wonder about the hotel management and their motives for being stingy with the towels and soap. We are Marriott platinum rewards members and expect better of Marriott. « less

I stayed here a week in May. Upon checking in I noticed a few empty candy wrappers but I travel frequently and was tired so I just cleaned the room myself. On Wednesday I noticed that behind my night stand was a pile of toe nail clippings. I asked the front desk to clean that up but they did not. After observing this I marked a towel to make sure they were replacing them daily. That same towel found itself from the bathtub to back on the rack folded. On Thursday night I found a hypodermic needle on my night stand. I let the front desk know, they told me they would let the manger know and asked if I wanted to move. Told them I was leaving on Friday and so just wanted to get the stay there over with. I stay at a number of Marriott properties and I have to say I have seen a deterioration over time regarding quality. I certainly could not recommend staying here. « less

The facility is close to I 20 but getting there is made easier with a GPS that takes you to the door. It shares an area with a Marriott Courtyard and is in a quiet, office area. The rooms may be a few dollars more than some neighbor motels, but the value makes it worth while. The rooms were large,and clean. The bath room was large with nice towels. We were given two containers of conditioner but no shampo or body wash. There was soap tho. There is a real breakfast, not a mini continental that others offer. It had eggs, sausauge, make your own waffles, various cereals and fruit. Plastic utensils were adequate. The coffe was very good. « less

This is a standard Springhill Suites experience and that is good. The rooms are comfy, smallish, clean. Nice to have a little fridge and microwave. Fair breakfast. Hotel is well located to the west side of Atlanta. After sleeping a bit late and departing the hotel about 9:15, we were able to breeze right through Atlanta on I-20 with no traffic problems on a work day.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit in our room needed maintenance. It was on a five minute cycle of fan, fan+compressor, fan, silence. There was no way to leave the fan running. This cycle continued every five minutes all night long. It was pretty tough getting to sleep.
When you go to your room, don't unpack. Check the air conditioner first and if it behaves like this one, ask for a different room. Easy. I would have no problem staying here again but I would check the AC for sure. « less
