By the way, there were no eggs in the breakfast. that was not good. Is it too cheap! ? « less

Most of the reviews I have seen for this hotel are negative. I say, what do you want for 100.00/night in centretown Montreal, walk to everything, great free breakfast (French toast, chocolate pastries, fruit pastries, croissants, fruit salad with yogurt, oranges, grapefruitwhite and whole wheat toast with choice of marmalade, peanut butter and jam, 4 choices of cereal, orange juice, coffee and tea) ALL FREEEEE. They even have a hot breakfast menu, omelettes, breakfast specials with homefries, etc. for really reasonable price. Secure underground parking, small tuck shop, ice machine, vending machines, and I will mention again, centrally located. Big mall across the street attached to an IGA and liquor store (SAQ). Also really cheap liquor at the IGA, wine beer etc. with special sales. Very pleasant and helpful staff and very clean room. NO BUGS, clean washrooms and floors. It is very small, but who stays in their room when you're in Montreal? Wouldn't necessarily bring a couple of kids with you if they're young, no pool, or anything, and you might all need therapy in such a tiny space, but my daughter (22) and I (pretty old) fit fine. Go ahead and book. What do you want for 100.00, and that included taxes. Yep, 89.00 first night, 84.00 second night! « less

The location of the hotel is good but every othet thing remains below par for a hotel bearing the name Travelodge. The room was very small with barely any place to move about and if you are traveling heavy then probably you will do away with walking inside the room. The power sockets are all loose and wouldn't hold any plugs. You need to place supports below for the plug to stay. The bathroom was very small and the shower cubicle will have you fixed in one position. There is no tap in the bathing cubicle and the tap adjusting the water runs in one direction - from cold to hot. So while having a bath you would first get a shower of icy cold water followed by hot water if you have turned it too much. A tap below or a handheld shower would have given you some room to adjust the water temperature. The breakfast is a vegetarian one without any bacon, sausages or eggs, just bread, butter/marmalade, cornflakes and milk, tea/coffee - American breakfast(!) as the call it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody else as they will definitely give me a bad time after they have spent their time over there. « less
