All suite hotel. We have one bedroom suites. The bedroom will have either one king size bed or two queen size beds. The kitchenettes have a full size refrigerator/freezer, small sink, and microwave with turntable. Our bathrooms have ample counter space, a hair dryer, bowed out shower curtain rods and pulsating shower heads. The living area has a comfortable chair, work desk and chair and a sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa is about the size of a queen size bed. We serve a full hot buffet every morning. There's a Manager's reception Monday through Thursday. We serve wine, beer, sodas and snacks. Both the breakfast buffet and Manager's reception are complimentary. We have an indoor pool and exercise facility. The meeting room can set up to 50 people. We do not do any catering. You may choose your own caterer. Our on site laundry has two washers and two dryers. They cost $2.00 per load.

We were in town for sight seeing & a Naval retirement. Staff was warm & friendly and the hotel was centrally located that we never had more than a 10-15 minute drive to the places we planned on going. My only complaint is Charleston traffic around 5:00 pm, but the hotel has no control over that. « less

Only downfall is we don't eat pork and there wasn't a variety of meat during the complimentary breakfast. Besides that, I would highly recommend this hotel. « less

We stopped at the charleston visitors centre and was offered a good deal on this hawthorn suites, we were not dissappointed. We arrived earlier than check-in, room was not ready but the girl on reception said to come back in half an hour, we went and had some lunch came back and room was ready.Room was very clean and a good size with two queen beds, a kitchen area and living area. We had a swim in the pool, which was warm and enjoyable. Breakfast did not have a great selection but coffee was good and had china plates mugs etc, (a nice change after plastic ones in other hotels/motels) The only negative was the internet was either down or very slow. « less
