Stayed just one night. Very nice hotel. We usually stay on the other side of the river, but were visiting friends in the NE section of Portland and decided to try the Crowne Plaza for a change. It was very convenient for us and would be to anyone in town for a convention or event at the Rose Garden - or with friends in the NE part of town! We did not try the restaurant or bar, but our king room was very comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, both checking in and out. Next time we will ask for a room facing away from the freeway - but the noise wasn't awful, or anything - just more than what we're used to. Hotel parking anywhere in Portland is expensive, but the valet was very nice and there was no wait for our car. The room was a good value for Portland. We pay $100 more a night when we stay in the SW section of the city! Would definitely stay here again! « less

We stayed only one night for an event at the Rose Garden (Veteran's Memorial). We were able to leave our car at the hotel and walk about 5 blocks to the venue. The hotel is very nicely appointed. Our room faced the freeway and even with earplugs was noisy. The 6:30 AM delivery truck backing into the hotel (on a Saturday!) with its incessant "Beep Beep Beep" automatically lost this hotel one star. They cannot control the freeway, but they can control their deliveries. Our king-bed room was smaller than usual. We ordered breakfast from the menu in the morning and it was delicious. They do charge for overnight parking, which at this location, seemed odd. « less

I would also like to point out that our parking is comparable to the hotels in our immediate area and half the price of hotels on the west side. The best part about our location is that it allows easy access to downtown and the Rose Garden venues without having to pay at the higher downtown or venue price. There is also a complimentary shuttle that the hotel provides to local areas and they will pick you up too. Shuttle to the airport too. Just 6 blocks from the Lloyd Center mall. Free Internet access and a business center computers and free printing. Nice hot tub & pool. The pool opens up with garage doors to the outside. Nice feature! The rooms are clean. The beds are very comfortable! There is a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. The bar and restaurant is good and very convienant! Our DVD player was not working and the staff responded immediately and replaced the player. They even gave us free breakfast because of the inconvienance. Nice service! You need a room key to access your rooms, which provide additional safety! I would definately stay here again! « less

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told by the clerk that my reservation was cancelled. I didn;t understand how that could be since I only made the reservation 48 hours prior. No big deal, they still had rooms available and was given one. It went quick.
The rooms are very nice. Plenty of plug outlets in all the right places, nice "normal" layout, fancy coffee makers, and even free sleepy time stuff...
The bed was comfortable, but the sheets left something to be desired. I guess the thread count wasn't very high... They just didn't feel soft. Almost like they were starched. Not a deal breaker though.
Around 11:00pm, I heard a key hit the lock of my room. If the deadbolt wasn't secured, whoever it was could have walked right in. I called the desk to let them know someone just tried to enter my room. The clerk on the phone apologized and said that the room showed vacant and apologized for the mistake.
So... With my not-cancelled reservation and my "vacant" room, I feel like a little more organization at the front desk is needed. But otherwise, this hotel is very good. It is also worth mentioning that this hotel has one of the fastest internet speeds I have ever had at a hotel. It was very impressive!
The reservation/room key errors aside, I would probably stay here again. « less
