Stayed here overnight for a business meeting that was held in the hotel. The service was great - bellhops, check-in, wait staff, etc. were all professional and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was great - very nicely decorated, very clean, bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was fairly large and very well done. Everything looked fairly new throughout the hotel. We didn't try their Italian restaurant or the steakhouse next door (although the menu looked good). Instead we opted for the Cooper's Hawk restaurant and winery across the parking lot and it was great food with lots of choices to please everyone in a group. We did have a business luncheon as well as a buffet breakfast at the Westin though and the food was very, very good and everything was nicely displayed! Would definitely recommend this hotel. My only complaint was that the parking was pretty far away from the hotel entrance. My only suggestion would be to place mini bar-height tables throughout the lobby when serving a business breakfast. It was impossible to juggle a coffee, a small plate, and a notebook without having a place to eat quick before mingling. « less

Especially the Steak House. Fitness Center was small but doable for catching a quick work out. I would stay here again :) « less

This Hotel is Beautiful, a bright open Lobby, with white marble pillars, a fireplace along the back wall, generally well kept, there is a fitness facility on site, a pool, decent restaurant in the hotel, but many others close by. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and up to date, Shower has panhead and a hand wand. The staff were all pleasant and friendly, very courteous. Its a bit far from Downtown Chicago, however, getting into Downtown is an adventure I would easily suggest everyone take. The Staff will take you over to the Train Station, Hop aboard the train and take in the sights into the downtown. It's not all glam and glitter, it's Life. The Hotel staff will pick you up from the train station also, just be sure to check-in with the concierge, before you head out. The only Free Wifi is in the Lobby, which sucks, as the Daily WiFi rate is $10 in your room. « less

We stayed here due to a wedding and were very impressed. The lobby had a great high end fire place and check in was a breeze. They have the newer stations rather than one long counter, which is much nicer. We got a 16th floor room with a view of the Chicago skyline. The bathrobes provided were fresh and white. I liked the combo waterfall shower head and sprayer. The bedding was comfortable, and clearly a newer upgrade. Other reviewers stated that the rooms showed some wear, ours did not.
My only complaint is the parking. The lot for over night guests is on the conference/ ballroom end of the hotel. It is a LONG walk from the lot to the check-in. We did not have our children and only one suitcase, so this was not a huge problem. Families with little ones or many bags may have to struggle with this arrangement.
We did not dine in the restaurant or vist the bars. However the catering for the wedding meal and brunch the next day was excellent. We would not hesitate to visit again. « less

There is always something going on or a new special to try. Hotel with very nice facilities, not cheap, but it is SPG Westin of course. he bars and restaurants are very nice. there are some other restaurants next door that are very convenient too. The hote has no views, so does not matter which floor or what side your room is. The gym and swimming pool are on the ground floor. Not as large as you would like their mirrors would imagine you to be! Still you can find at least something at 7 am to burn some calories on. By the way they have this excellent scheme by whic for $5 they rent you gym shoes and gym clothes so pack light!! All in all I would use this hotel everytime for my needs. There are no public transport facilitied nearby. « less
