The best things about this hotel: 1. Concierge team is amazing. Guy at boarding pass kiosk was taking a long time and concierge printed off my pass from his own computer. 2.They let me check in early 3. They have a great 24 hr convenience store that actually has decent hot food/deli wine, beer, etc. 4. They have outlets for your phone/laptop/etc right by the bed 5. They are right at the convention center, a must when attending a conference at the Orlando Convention Center.
Areas for improvement/weirdness: 1. It costs $15 to use the gym. I had to wait 20 minutes to use one of the two exercise bikes. The gym was tiny and packed. I was pretty annoyed. This gym isn't fee-worthy.
2. Thin walls in the hotel rooms. Like, really thin. I was woken up at 6 am to the sound of my neighbor being sick in the bathroom. Pretty gross way to start the day.
3. I was in the shower when I realized I only had conditioner, no shampoo. I left a note for the maid asking for shampoo. I came back to find two shampoos but the conditioner was gone. The concierge was great and handed me conditioner.
4. The gym is through the lobby and its a good embarrassing distance of a walk when you are in your workout gear, here for a conference and you run into colleagues.
5. You'll wake up when the sun rises (or before if your next door neighbor is sick) as there are only sheer shades that shut all the way. It got really bright at sunrise. « less

Back for our umpteenth visit (?11th) since 2005 and things just get better and better at The Rosen Centre. We had a few problems with our original room, but were swiftly moved to another room. The staff are fantastic and friendly and the room was kept beautifully clean with plenty of complimentary items even though we had brought our own with us. In such a great location for all the attractions, but, being a business hotel, the pool area is quiet during the day, so it's very relaxing for a couples holiday. Will be back - sooner rather than later, I hope!!! « less

This hotel is convenient if you need to be at the conference center. But my stay was far from enjoyable and I will not return.
The hotel is expensive-almost $300 per night out of season. For that price you expect service and comfort. Here is what you get:
The hotel is older and it shows. But the rooms were updated and beds were comfortable. However, there is a window airconditioning unit (not kidding) blaring all day. We were wakened every night around 3AM by people coming back from a party in the room next door. The walls are like paper. You'll be okay if your neighbors are quiet. The internet is free but extremely spotty-I had whole days where I could not login from my room. For a business hotel, this should be much better or they should at least give the option to pay for better service.
The rooms appear clean but for people with allergies I would highly recommend staying away. I had terrible allergies in the room so clearly it is cleaned to 'appear' clean not to be clean. Keep your anti-histamines and airbuterol close if you do have to stay here. I am positively worn out after 5 nights in this hotel.
Every single day our room was not cleaned until after 4PM - the time you come back from your activities and want to kick of your shoes and relax. Now you will have to deal with the maid's grumpy face and manners.
Given that our room was cleaned so late I requested a late check-out; but this was not possible even though the room would be dirty and unoccupied for the whole day anyway. Front desk was not even able to give me an hour extra ('we need the room for other guests') without paying half a night (guess you do not need the room but my money). Never have experience that kind of inflexibility in a hotel especially if you pay this kind of money!
For those with food allergies, there is not a place close by to buy things. There is a Walgreens across the street but all they sell is snackfoods (gas station foods). A grocery is about 2.5 miles way but with the heat and traffic this is not a pleasant walk and crossing the major arteries a long time. It will spill your milk on your walk home-take a cab. The room does have a small fridge so you can keep some things fresh. Eating in the hotel's restaurants is a challenge as well. It is very expensive and personnel kept delivering the wrong food blaming me for ordering wrong (how could I if I am allergic to this dish?). So I am not confident you will get an allergen-free meal even if you request one.
Overall this was a week that I am very ready to forget. The Rosen Centre is a place to stay away from if you have allergies-and perhaps even if you have none. « less

Great service, awesome restaurants, sparkling clean lobbies, rooms, conference areas. Beautiful outdoor pool, Jacuzzi and grounds. The lobby area is comfortable and trendy looking with lots of sitting nooks and interesting set ups. After conference time the lobby is a fun, social place with lots of opportunity for mingling and sampling appetizers at any of the lobby bars. « less
