First time to the area and plan to visit for personal reasons more regularly in the future but I doubt if I will stay at this Best Western hotel again. I was able to get an early check-in (wonderful); front desk staff was good. I requested and received a room on the top-most floor above the last smoking floor. But I also requested a King size bed and got a room with doubles. Guess you can't have it all and this was not explained to me at check-in. Room was average, bathroom less than average. One thing I did not get - if you have a refrigerator in the room, why not have a microwave as well? Just seems like they go together especially if I had some food placed in the fridge to be eaten/warmed up later. 2 out of 3 lamps actually worked in the room. Room iron had rust/burnt matter on it, therefore it rubbed on my pants. Hopefully, I can get it out. Bed was comfortable. There was a ceiling leak in the hallway all night long - so glad my room was about 3 doors down from it but I still heard the water falling all night but could not figure out where the sound was coming from. Breakfast was good but average; area could have been bigger for a 9-story hotel. Hotel is an average value for what you get but I would have paid more for better amenities/better room/elevator that did not creak/better parking. I was pleased with the location so that may win out over every thing else, if I choose to stay here again. The hotel I originally wanted was completely booked. « less

The room is quite nice. Recently updated. Soft bed. Within easy walking distance to Downtown Charleston restaurants.

One note, I gave an "Average" for cleanliness. This was because the in room coffee pot had mold in it. Other than that the room was immaculate.
The hotel manager even offered a 30% discount on our next stay because of the coffee pot issue. Handled the situation very well.
I would stay again. Even without the discount. :) « less

We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. Once on our way to Myrtle Beach on the 28th of March, 2013 and then again on our way home . We really liked the hotel and especially the woman who worked the front desk. She was so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I would have liked it if it would have had WiFi, but that was ok. The extended continental breakfast was the best. I'm sure if we're ever in the area we will stay there again. « less
