We stayed here May 11-12, 2013.After a days out at Seaworld. I booked it through Priceline.com by bidding. The place is kinda old (being old town) . Parking is $15/night, spaces are so tight. Free parking around the street. Wifi is free and quite fast on the lobby and in room. No Breakfast included, There is no on site restaurant, just a small bar. Pool is so small, with a small whirlpool hot tub. 4 floors, 1 elevator. We got a 2 queen bed Room 202, with small fridge, coffee maker, (coffee by the way taste horrible), I requested a Microwave, but when we came, did not get any.But with the price I paid at Priceline, I think I got a good deal. But If I will be paying the regular price, I do not think I will. I'd rather go somewhere else. Oh another thing, the AC is really loud, (that's what I read before and now, I attest to that.). Well, If you just want to just sleep and go somewhere else and not stay a lot of time at the hotel, well, this is just fine, otherwise, Go somewhere else. « less

I've stayed at this property many times while visiting clients in the San Diego area. It's really close to the airport if you have an early morning flight, but is right near the attractions of Old Town so you can walk to a number of decent restaurants and bars. If you stay here, I'd advise that you do NOT stay in the Annex as the rooms are very small, and the internet connection is bad. Other than that, it's a nice place to stay. « less

I stay at all of the marriott properties for both business and pleasure. This was for business. Registration and staff were great the lobby looked great very welcoming free chips & salsa for cinco de mayo. Well then you get on the old elevator and get off on a very musty hallway. The room had all the usual amenities but the room was old and small. Air conditioner front panel fell off onto to the floor and stayed there the whole time I was there no one fixed it. My room was next to service room where the door stayed open the whole time so that was what I saw everytime entering my room. Tub had moled on tiles. Sorry to say I would not stay here again!!! Staff however was great!!! « less

This was our first time we stayed at this hotel. You could tell it used to be another brand of hotel because it was not your typical Marriott. It was just off the freeway and easy to find. The rooms were clean and quiet. The best part of this hotel is its location to all the shops and restaurants in Old Town. You can just step out of the hotel and walk a couple of blocks. I was surprised at the $15 a night parking fee. Seriously people!! I was not happy about that. It is an underground garage that honestly is a bit spooky. But, with that being said I would stay here again. It got the job done and we had a good time on our weekend getaway. « less

I loved that this hotel was a little bit out of the way, nestled back where you may not expect to find a hotel. We were withing walking distance to Old Town and close to free way entrances. Zoo was only 5 miles away, beaches also very close. Staff was friendly. There is also a great little in house cafe open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So although there was no free breakfast the prices at the cafe are reasonable and had healthy options. Hotel was very quiet, I did not see a lot of families, mostly business but I think that's because its a hidden charm in Old Town.
The rooms were fine, nothing spectacular, pool was small with a sign hanging on it for us to be quiet as to not disturb the conference going on next door. Even though there were other conference rooms they could have used. But that is small inconvenience. All in all I would stay there again.
Parking is $15 per day. Streets are lined with cars already so there is really no other option. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Everything went excellent. I'm really glad I decided to go with both your company and Sierra Suites for accommodations for my wedding. People are now wishing there were more Sierra Suites around. They were even kind enough to offer the discounted rate to those people that weren't sure they'd make to the wedding until after the cutoff date. I have already referred someone to your service for a wedding she's planning in Michigan." R.S. - Parsippany, NY
"I received about a dozen bids, all around the price I had indicated, with some significantly lower." L.D. - Kittery, ME
