We stayed in this hotel April 18-20 2013. This hotel is very nice. It is located downtown where there are many restaurants and shops. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are extremely large and the beds are very comfortable. I understood that there were many new employees. They were kind, thoughtful and accommodating. Two employees that I really appreciate are Crystal and Kevin. Kevin took our reservation and Crystal went beyond the call of duty in accommodating our particular needs. Just stayed at the hotel, the front desk poorly functions, research the area first cause they are not sure what is around there. Called to ask what time room service was ....I was told....I am not sure....although once I got my room service it was delicious. Also, their books in the room have incorrect information in regard to hotel service times (ie:room service). I fully believe that this hotel can step up it's game by looking at the details and the needs of their guests, if not the hotel will be on par with a Days Inn. « less

I arrived and it was warm during the day, 60-70is. the A/C in the room worked great. during that week the temps dropped into the 40's and into the 30's at night. apparently this hotel uses a chiller setup and a boiler setup to heat and cool the rooms and changes from one to the other have to be made by maintenance. even if you turn on the heat on the thermostat, it blows cold air. they had a note that I will attach, sitting on top of a blanket on the bed. I was told to put another blanket on the bed if I was col when I contacted the front desk. « less

This Holiday Inn is more than likely one of the most well maintained and staffed of any of the chain's properties. The location is excellent for walking to nearby shops and restaurants. The lobby, common areas, and the rooms are extremely clean. I haven't tried the restaurant (Park Place Restaurant) on location due to all of the restaurant choices nearby, but if it is on par with the rest of the hotel, I am sure it is excellent. I have had a drink or two in the lounge and the pours were what I would call generous for a hotel. The lounge staff was very amiable and up for good conversation. Overall, the staff was excellent with Crystal (at the front desk) being one of the friendliest and most customer service hotel employees I have ever encountered. She has only been there for a few weeks as I understand. I hope they realize and keep the gem they have in her. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. « less
