Thompson Hotels is a luxury, design-driven brand of elite hotels and Thompson Toronto is its first international property, adding to the ten US based locations. Although Thompson brings a cohesive approach to service and design to all of its hotels, each property maintains distinct architectural and design features. Thompson Toronto is the most modern of the portfolio with an entirely glass exterior offering stunning views of Toronto’s skyline and waterfront. The interior, designed by New York based Studio Gaia, features floor-to-ceiling glass on every level creating unobstructed views of the city. The contemporary, clean look continues through to the interior design with dark oak hardwood floors and accents of red and orange. With a club and three unique dining options, including the soon to come Colette Grand Cafe and Bakery that will offer an innovative approach to traditional French cuisine, The Diner an upscale 24 hour diner and Wabora Sushi, Thompson Toronto is a chic hotspot for hotel guests and Torontonians alike. The stunning lobby bar, features a 125 foot wide by 12 foot high hand-painted, three dimensional mural of Toronto’s skyline by renowned Spanish artist Javier MariscalOur 102 spacious guestrooms and suites feature hardwood flooring, custom millwork with built-in workstations, floor-to-ceiling windows and luxurious carrera marble bathrooms with heated floors. The colour palette is cool white, set against a backdrop of rich hardwood floors with splashes of lush orange. All rooms feature custom 300 thread count SFERRA linens, digital temperature control units, Lutron Lighting systems, in-room safes and dual phone lines with speaker and conference capabilities. Guests have a choice of eighteen suites, including the 2,100 square foot signature Penthouse Suite which has two optional adjoining rooms. The mini bar will be stocked with Dean & Deluca gourmet snacks along with other name brand amenities. The bathrooms feature plush towels and SFERRA terry-cloth robes. Entertainment options include a 42” plasma TV with multi-media capabilities, on-demand movie library and an iHome. WI-FI is available throughout the hotel. The hotel features over 4900 square feet of event space. A 40-seat screening room with state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment is ideal for corporate training and will offer regular film programming and special events for television and movie features. A boardroom for 25 people will be suitable for VIP board meetings and can be used as a breakout room. The largest room, an elegant yet understated ballroom, with 3100 square feet is perfect for conferences of up to 100 people and celebrations for 200.Registered overnight guests with a vehicle will pay $85 per day (exclusive of taxes) to use our parking facility with full 24 hour in and out privileges for Valet Parking. Privately owned self park lots are available in the area at varying rates including Wellington Street (Surface Lot, Across from the Hotel), and 55 Stewart Street (Underground, with connectivity to the hotel)
