We stayed here for 5 nights and think it was a great value with parking next door, breakfast for two and Wi Fi. The room is large with a king bed, a sleeper couch, a stuffed armchair and ottoman, a work desk and chair. The alcove with the coffee maker (mugs not foam cups) does NOT include a refrigerator but has a hair dryer. The closet has those obnoxious hangers with the small hooks (as if people will steal the whole lot). The bathroom is standard issue Double Tree with standard toiletries, a tub and shower. When we entered our room after check in there were two bottles of water. Nice. But these were not replaced at all. The breakfast in the Multnomah Room is standard buffet but we were given vouchers for Continental Breakfast (cold stuff at either end of the buffet: bagels, muffins, breads etc. with yogurt at the other end.) Or, we could use the vouchers to apply $7.50 towards the cost of hot stuff such as eggs, bacon, etc. The continental breakfast was just fine. The wait staff, including Nancy and Colette, were very pleasant and helpful. Bottom line: While the venue is not a real 4-star hotel like the Silver Cloud Inn in Seattle (separate review) it was a great value at $140 per night all inclusive in the Lloyd Center area. « less

Staying here as we speak for a quick meeting. The banquet food was good. This is an older Doubletree but pretty well maintained. The hotel manager was welcoming people arriving. He was very active and constantly helping other guests. I like to see the manager out and about taking care of his guests. Big A+ in my book. « less

This hotel is very well located. It is on the light rail line and so getting around downtown is easy. Our room was very clean and quiet. Our only complaint was that there were a couple of conferences going on the weekend we stayed there and there didn’t seem to be enough staff to handle business. We had a very long wait one morning at the coffee bar, just one woman working. The woman that checked us in wasn’t very friendly, actually to the point of being abrupt. Maybe she was just having a bad day. But overall it is nice hotel. « less

Stayed here on business in May 2013 and was blown away by the service and smiles of everyone at the hotel. First I was greeting by the hotel staff and was offered a delicious warm chocolate cookie with ice cold lemonade on a 90 degree day. WOW!! Service with a smile. Since I was a HH silver member I got complimentary bottles of water in my room and free wi-fi service. Membership has its privileges. On the top floor when the elevator opened there was a large bowl of fresh fruit and cold water with diced limes to quench my thirst. During my stay I needed some bowls and utensils to use it came at least 2 minutes within my order. Forgot to mention that I also requested and received a complimentary fridge and microwave in my room. The concierge and front staff went out of their way to offer tips and tricks for me to seeing the city. Portland was a great city, the people was so friendly and this hotel was superb!! Would definitely recommend again and again. « less

I'm still currently staying at the Doubletree in downtown Portland. The location of the hotel is very nice to the proximity of my work conference. My major grip is at the Gather Bar and Grill, I've had the bartender Russ for 3 nights now and he's nothing but rude. He's got an arrogant attitude and acts like he doesn't want to be at work. He consistently leaves a mixed drink empty and has an overall bad attitude. « less
