What a unexpected surprise. This was a last minute reservation when we reached our destination a day early and our original hotel was not available. We booked online and only had a few reviews and some pictures (which can be totally decieving) to go by. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and professional desk clerk. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us a quick overview of the hotel. She also made a last minute change when we explained that we needed a first floor room as my husband has a heart condition. She said it was absolutely no problem and made the change right away. This is not a new hotel but is well maintained and has been updated. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and clean. The whole hotel staff went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and welcomed. The lady that takes care of the breakfast area kept it cleaned and well stocked and actaully asked us if there was anything else that we needed. The manager and the other staff made a point to speak to us and ask us about our stay and make us feel so welcome and at home. It was such an enjoyable stay for us that we decided to cancel our reservation and move to the Ramada for the rest of out stay. We were not dissappointed with this decision. They were even able to accomodate us when we needed to stay an extra day. I am not one to write reviews, but felt absolutely compelled to write this one. I realized how much I relied on the reviews as we were traveling across country not knowing where we were going to stay and trying to pick a hotel last minute. I only had the reviews to help me decide. This was so worth the money and the people were absolutely great. « less
