This is a very nice and clean hotel. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was great. The only down side is the location. It's a rather dead area so be ready to drive for any kind of attractions and dining...but you can be at the beach, broadway at the beach, and most other areas or attractions within 5 to 10 mins. I personally enjoyed the ease and relaxation this hotel offered without being stuck in the middle of everything. I can be a snob when it comes to hotels as I do a lot of travel for work. This hotel I give an A + without hesitation. « less

Beware this hotel is quite far from anywhere, so a car or taxi is essential. Breakfast was ok, but there is only so much powered egg you can take. Social evenings were nice and a good time to meet other guests. Kitchen inside the room was well equipped. I you fancy cooking, there is a large Walmart store a few miles away. « less

The hotel was clean and did not have any signs of doggie visitors. The room accommodations were very spacious and the free breakfast was an added benefit. Would definitely stay here again. « less

We found this hotel thru Hotwire.com and was pleasantly surprised when we got there. Lobby- very cozy, with a fireplace. The front desk staff was very friendly and check-in was a breeze. Rooms- we stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. The room was large enough for 6 people. Equipped with a kitchen with a microwave and dishwasher. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast- oh my, that was the largest selection i have seen so far with regard to complimentary breakfasts. Waffles, bagels, bread, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, yogurt, scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages. Whew! That certainly made our morning very happy. We were stuffed! Pool- very nice pool. Good place to unwind.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with Sonesta ES Suites. It's worth checking out when you're finding a hotel in Myrtle Beach.

My wife and l and our little dog stayed at Sonesta for 3 weeks. All the staff were superb. They were welcoming and could not do enough for us. The breakfast each morning was first class as well as the manager's Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday social. The grounds, pool area and hotel in general were well looked after. The work out room and free laundry facilities were a welcome surprise. Our room was clean and staff checked on a regular basis to see if they could get us anything to make our stay even better. Plastic bags for our little dog's care were placed outside in two areas. Staff were awesome with him and greeted him each day as he walked in the hallways or around the grounds. Problem with my car was remedied by Dwayne who gave me a wrench to fix the rear taillight. Warm greetings were a part of each day from Anthony, Lucinda, Marty, Eric, Melanie, Jamal and the part time staff. It was a family atmosphere that the parent company should be proud of!
