We stated here after a 50th party and I have yo say the room( a suite) was VERY tired looking. I must say that the room was spotless and sheets were very clean, but the leather sofa looked about 15 years old and the overall look of the room didn't impress. TVs were about 10 years old, wallpaper peeling and shabby. We paid for 1 soup and 3 rounds of sandwiches on room service. I was astounded when my wife told me that it came to £24!!!!! All in all the Holiday Inn needs to get into this decade and take a leaf from the likes of premier inn in terms of value, and a slick modern look. « less

I recently attended a Grease Tribute night on Saturday 11th of May at the hotel. This was arranged for my best friends Hen night and with there being 43 of us in one group the staff were fantastic. Being Chief Bridesmaid it was my chance to do something for her on the night, so I had arranged it with the manager Craig of the hotel to go along in the afternoon before hand and decorate the tables. I know most places don't allow you in before the event or whilst they are setting up the tables but Craig could no have been more accommodating in letting me organise this surprise for my friend (which she was delighted with).
We had booked for an all singing, all dancing cheesy night and that was what we got, with plenty of music and dancing all round. We certainly got what we paid for, as the meal was lovely also. We were not rushed with the meal with just the right amount of time between courses. The bar staff coped very well with the busyness of the bar and were not waiting long at all to be served.
I would recommend anyone try the night at the Holiday inn especially if its a good girly fun night you are looking for with friendly staff, yummy food and brilliant entertainment. « less

Everyone who attend as part of my night have gave me postive feedback, said they had a great night & food/service was good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the manager Craig was very welcoming. Will defo recommend theses nights and hotels to any friends & family. « less

Went to a grease tribute night for a works night out and sorely disappointed, entertainment was poor was like a high school production good singing but not great presentation. Food was nice, however the portions continue to be very small and on requesting more vegetables the table of 7 were given a carrot each! The most disappointing part was being charged per round for an extra drink, that was not served but charged for, this has happened to us for the second night out at this hotel and we were offered this free night as recompense for the previous mischarging. Complaining to the manager was pointless, he was very unhelpful. Will not return to this place again and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. « less
