The Hampton Inn and Suites Oceanfront, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has very pleasant rooms and spotless; every day the room and bedding is cleaned. The breakfast is a wonderful start to the day. The facility is right on the beach, so a short walk out the back and there you are. They do not have a restaurant or bar, but it close to shopping and restaurants. It has a welcome home feeling to it and the personnel they have working there are so pleasant they make you feel welcome upon arrival and every time you came into contact with them. They were extremely helpful. I even forgot my sweatshirt and did not think I would get it back but a call and a request was all it took for them to mail it to me. It was just a wonderful place to spend a vacation. For us, it was peaceful and restful; just what we needed. I recommend it to anyone of any age. « less

This hotel is an absolute beachfront gem. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. The rooms are modern, updated and esthetically pleasing. There is no mildew smell in these rooms like many oceanfront hotels. There are digital climate controls. The duvet covers and blankets are changed before a new guest stays in the room. A free continental breakfast with boiled eggs, fruit and waffles is included. Wifi is free. There are several nice pools inside and several more outside on a beautifully landscaped green area, looking out over the beach. Beach access is directly from the hotel's green area. Every room seems to have a ocean facing balcony with chairs and small table. The boardwalk begins several blocks away but there is a sidewalk leading to it. Parking is free in the adjacent multi level parking garage and doors into the hotel from the garage are secured 24 hours. The front desk staff is more than accomodating and very professional. For a beach getaway in Myrtle Beach, forget all the other hotels and have tunnel vision for this one, you'll thank me!! PS- Just in case anyone "complains" about the concierge, let me say this: Hampton Inn is a Hilton brand. Hilton operates other properties, including a time share down the street. If you ask the concierge any questions, he or she is obligated to speak with you about time share offerings and will be assertive in a cordial way about working it into the conversation in addition to the information you requested. Everyone has a job to do so give 'em a break and politely decline if you wish. :-) I was offered 500 Hilton Honors points for listening to the presentation, so I stood at the desk a few more minutes and listened, then gave my Hilton Honors number and collected the points. Great first stay at the resort! My wife and I visited Myrtle Beach for the weekend and chose the Hampton Inn and Suites based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We booked a king oceanfront with a kitchen. The room was very clean and the ocean view was great. The bathroom contained two sinks, a bath tub and shower. The hotel staff was also courteous and helpful. There were numerous pools on the property, covered parking, and there was direct access to the beach. The hotel is located on the quiet end of Ocean Blvd, but that was okay with so many people in town for Bike Week. It only took 6 to 7 minutes to drive to the end of Ocean Blvd. that had attractions and food, but parking can get expensive at times. Broadway at the Beach is about 15 minutes away which has multiple restaurants, clubs and attractions too. Great trip and great first stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort! « less

We were on the 11th floor with a direct oceanview...SO BEAUTIFUL! Room was very clean and I would have never know they have smoking rooms, unless they are in the other tower that I never was in. Breakfast was not that great, but it's not a Hilton its a Hampton Inn, so you would obviously pay for a nicer buffet and I am surprised at the people on the reviews who are complaining. There are several restaurants for those picky eaters and there are fridges/microwaves in the rooms. Not far from the broadway at the beach, the boardwalk, the family amusement park or shops. I am returning to this HI in August. « less
