Enjoyed this hotel and the area that we stayed an extra night. Clean and updated room; a bit small if you plan on an extended vacation. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful front desk. Appreciated the clean and bright laundry room! Quiet are pleasant stay. An added bonus is the family style restaurant across the street. « less

I wasn't too impressed when we drove up. This BW is surrounded by the 101, Washington St and McDowell. There's a plaza mall across McDowell and a plaza mall across Washington St. It was traffic noisy and after a long day on the road - this wasn't where I wanted to be.
Check-in wasn't as smooth as with other Best Westerns but the room was spacious, clean - looked like it had been renovated - comfortable bedding, had a fridge and microwave (which we used). Bathroom was also a surprised - basic but clean and comfortable.
We stayed a Friday night - the Internet in the room was great except that it didn't work Sat morning until the motorcyclists (going to an Apple Festival) rode out. Do motorcycles interfer with Wifi??? It did make for a very busy breakfast Sat morning. The poor attendant was crazy busy refilling every station. We ended bringing breakfast back to our room.
Final verdict? Great night's sleep, great value - not unhappy we stayed here. « less

Last time we were in Petaluma we stayed at the Quality Inn which was good, but the bed here was definitely more comfortable. We found the location to work very well--there is a Trader Joe's just down the road, easy freeway access and a killer natural area about a mile away. The breakfast was good and restocked regularly. The housekeeping was a little inconsistent, i.e. not having the coffee restocked one day, but it didn't affect our overall stay. The cable, if that's important to you, is not much beyond the local channels. The wi-fi, however, is weak which would have been a problem if we had spent much time there. « less
