We booked a non-smoking 2 bed room. 1st room we checked into had a horrible smell of cat urine & there was opened medication in the cabinet; luckily the gentleman at the front desk was very understanding & switched our room we packed up & moved to our next room which smelled strongly of cigarrette smoke. So back to the lobby & onto our 3rd room... this room was better however the TV did not work & neither did the internet. Also the hot tub in the pool area had no heat & one side of the building is very dark & scary. I'm thankful for the gentlman at the front desk for being so kind & patient. The next morning my girlfriend went to speak to the Manager about how nice the night clerk was & he dismissed her & gave the impression that he didn't even care. Overall this hotel is very dated & we would not recommend it to anyone. « less

This is an older property and it shows - inside and out. Check-in took half an hour because the computers were "malfunctioning" and there was a long line. Entering the non-smoking king suite we were greeted with the smell of room freshener combined with tobacco smoke. The single window provided little light. The switch on the lamp was broken, so that wasn't an option. The overhead fluorescent light in the kitchenette worked, but buzzed when on so that we couldn't hear the loud buzz from the refrigerator. There were two televisions - one in the bedroom which was so small that one could barely edge around the king bed. Neither TV had a remote. A call to the desk produced a housekeeper a half hour later with one (not two) remote(s). The toilet was on perpetual flush and there were sunflower seeds on the carpet from the previous occupant.
We asked for another room, but the hotel was booked. After pushing the issue we were offered a modest rate reduction which we refused. The Motel 6 across the way would have been better and cheaper. We asked that they make arrangements at a suitable, nearby Choice hotel - which they did. We were provided minimal information on what and where the replacement hotel was, but were relieved to be away from the Quality Inn Mesa. « less

I read some of the other reviews and I guess it is true that the internet is pretty bad, but otherwise I liked it a lot. The breakfast was ok, the room was clean and the only strange thing was the running water sound in our room. It didn't really bother me but if you are a light sleeper it might.The staff was helpful and friendly, the bed comfortable. I would definitely return! « less

The internet is the WORST internet in the world. I'm staying here (unfortunately) for 2 weeks for business and away from my family. I LOVE to see them on video (facetime, Tango etc) but the internet here is terrible. I can run to the store, get some food and go for a hike faster than it takes for a video to play or a site to come up. My phone, never keeps its WIFI connection. I have to keep connecting but it NEVER connects.
The cable, worked for the first week but then the power shut off for a split second and now the cable doesn't work. The owner is f'ing greedy. Its so easy to go buy a better or MORE routers to service this entire place. Didn't hesitate to make the pool area look nice though. I bet he probably just wants more money in his pocket so he neglects making the guests feel at home.
The room next to mine was leaking or flooded and my clothes were soaked. I was told to wash them but they never offered to pay for it. That wasn't my fault.
The cleaning ladies are so nice, well one of them atleast. You are paying too much though for the room, not worth the money AT ALL! The gym sucks too, the sh*t is so old.
NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN AND HOPE THIS REVIEW KEEPS OTHERS FROM STAYING HERE AS WELL « less
