Within a mile of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites - City Center, you will be able to explore the historic Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, Seattle Art Museum, and enjoy some of Seattle’s great shopping centers, including Westlake Center, Nordstrom and Pacific Place.
Our central location also makes it very easy to venture out of the downtown area and explore our many quirky and distinctive districts which truly make Seattle unique, including Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, and Fremont. We are also conveniently located to Seattle Pacific University, University of Washington, and Seattle University.
Our Hotel is also a wonderful place to stay if you are planning on watching our Seattle Mariners or 2005 NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks. Within 2 miles of us are Safeco and Qwest Fields.

The staff was very helpful in assisting me to get to various meetings, suggesting the best routes, and helping me plan walking routes. They had a power outage during my stay...what professionalism in calming people stuck in the elevator and dealing with the usual jerks who acted like it was their fault that the electricity was out. « less

Thank you so much for your kind words regarding my staff! They work very hard, and it is so nice to see their efforts recognized. Power outages are certainly inconvenient for everyone involved, and I appreciate your understanding and kudos. I hope you will choose to stay with us again on your next trip to Seattle!

This hotel's only positive is its proximity to the Seattle City Centre ! Front Desk staff was so straight faced & expressionless that it made me think that they are doing us a favour by renting us the room for the 2 nights !! The room was very dungy & the damp carpet smell was hitting your nose bad. The room rent is cheap as compared to other hotels around that area but dosen't mean they should be giving you smelly rooms. The Holiday Inn is adjacent to the Express & we accidentally went to that reception first & were impressed with what we saw, however we got the reality check soon after ! The Express does provide free breakfast but it is very crowded during the breakfast times. Breakfast is decent & caters well to the platter. Swimming pool is TINY ! Don't fall for the pool thing while making your booking. Just use this hotel if you are looking for a cheap option next to downtown. « less

Upon check in the staff was friendly and helpful. We asked for dining and bar suggestions and they provided us with great options and took the time to take out a map and draw the directions. The room size was good and the view of the space needle out my window was postcard like. The carpet in my room was worn but they are in the process of replacing it so that shouldn’t be an issue in the future. Overall it was a clean well run HI and I will stay there again when traveling to Seattle. « less

we found this hotel of good value.. it is close enough you can have a nice walk to the waterfront... strolling through the side streets.. it was just going through room upgrades.. new carpets etc.... the breakfast for a hotel was pretty impressive first time I have had a pancake for breakfast from an automatic maker.. the coffee was good... to bad not papercups though I had styrofoam...
the front desk staff was very helpfull also and the parking for 10 bucks a night was a good rate the closer you get to downtown it goes up to 30 bucks.. we will still here again.. « less

Thank you so much for staying with us and for sharing your comments! Our renovations are well under way, and we are really excited to see the finished product. The breakfast bar cups are actually made of recycled material and can be recycled. They do look very much like styrofoam, though, so it is a common comment. I hope that you will choose to stay with us again on your next visit to Seattle!
