On initial contact with the hotel I was offered one of two rooms, a king bed and a king bed with jacuzzi. I parked and returned to the desk to finish checking in and was told the room I had chosen could not be used because the computer wouldn't allow it even though no one was in the room. The blind was broken and this was not found until the sun was shining through in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was clean. The biggest complaint is something I had never experienced. When I politely requested to tell a manager my concerns on Saturday morning during checkout the desk staff gave me the general managers business card and told me to call him on Monday. I was absolutely dumb founded by that statement. Overall a poor to mediocre experience at best. « less

I wanted to write back to you regarding your stay. I am glad you found the bed comfortable and the room clean. If you get time at any point, I will be happy to speak with you regarding the confusion with your room during your check-in. We did wind up being full that night, so I am not sure if there was a change between when you called and inquired and when you arrived or if there was another issue with the jacuzzi room not being available.
The agent should have offered to take your information and provide it to me instead of just giving you my business card. For that, I apologize. I am always available on weekdays either by phone or in person to speak with you.
The blackout curtains are actually behind the sheers and the normal curtains, so they are not obvious without closer inspection. We don't have blinds in the rooms, so I am not sure what you may mean by that, but I do know the normal curtains do not close all of the way, hence the blackout curtains in the back.
I look forward to speaking with you.

My husband and I decided to escape on a rainy Sunday night. We booked a room with the Jacuzzi whirlpool. It is actually big enough to have 2 people and some extra room to move around. Most hotels these days have smaller tubs. This hotel is a bit old and needs some renovation. Overall I think the hotel is a great value. I will be back. « less

In town due to hospitalization of a family member. WIthin 1 mile of hospital, and civic center just across the street, so it's a busy place. If you are a light sleeper, don't get a room facing E.E. Butler Parkway, there's a lot of traffic all night long that come in thru the window. Walls are thin and it is easy to hear TVs and talking in other rooms. Get a room facing the courtyard if possible. Breakfast was an okay spread with EXCELLENT service. They'll cook omelets for you also. WIreless is slow, slow, slow. Only one desktop for public use in front lobby, and it is also very slow. « less

Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a full buffet and very good. The location is excellent since it is in the middle of town. THere were plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. We had a great stay. « less

This is my usual place to stay in Gainesville after trying a few of the options. The rooms are pretty standard for an older Holiday Inn. But the place could use some updating and refurbishing. The hallway carpet is looking and smelling old. The workout room has seen better days. I had to have maintenance come and unclog my tub drain because it ran so slow. That being said, the breakfast is far beyond the norm for a hotel of this type. Great selection, fresh, hot, etc. It's also nice to have a bar and restaurant available in the evenings. « less

Thank you for your stay with us. I want you to know how much we appreciate you kind words and glad to know you enjoyed your stay. We are working constantly, we know we are not the newest hotel in town, but that only makes us try harder.
