Normally, Hilton has impeccable standards of appearance and cleanliness, but this was not the case at this hotel. The security of the outside entry door to our unit was not secured even though it had the capability to require card key access. Our room was right next to a major road and sounded like a raceway all night, which made for sleepless nights. The room smelled like someone had been smoking in it. The staff seemed little concerned with these issues and even made the excuse that things will get better once they renovate in August (4 months hence). « less

We were met by the Sales Manager on arrival and he made sure we had a room that would work for our stay. Where else can you stay where they will feed you dinner and drinks and in the morning have a nice hot breakfast with a friendly staff. They are going through renovations and I just hope that when they finish the rooms will be a bit quieter, I know they will look great, after all it's a Hilton property and they know how to do. I will stay there every trip to Savannah especially with the reasonable rates. « less

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and got to meet Jay Womble - our Sales Manager! He loves talking with our guests and making sure they are comfortable. Free hot breakfast everyday and dinner with beer and wine on Monday through Thursday certainly helps our guests save money, and we're glad you enjoyed it.
We believe the stucco being applied to our buildings will help cut the noise and we are also hoping for some double paned windows along the White Bluff side of the hotel. Please come back and see our "new" hotel!

We stayed here for 3 nights this past week for a weekend in Historic Savannah. This hotel is driving distance to the historic district but I would go back to the Hilton Garden Inn in the historic district (we've stayed there before and loved it) next time. This hotel is a group of buildings...which means that the vending, front desk, breakfast, and lounge area are not in the same building as your room...walking to breakfast in the rain...not my idea of vacation. The parking lots are scattered and parking at times can be interesting. There are signs everywhere that say park at your own risk...not a great feeling when you are crossing the property to get to your building of this hotel. Hotel was not as clean/pristine as most of our Hilton stays at other properties. Lighting was dim and room seemed very outdated. It was nice to have the kitchen in the room for an extended stay. The breakfast wasn't anything special but the breakfast attendants were helpful/friendly. We asked for extra pillows at check in and about an hour later we got a call to ask if we wanted our extra pillows...of course we did..we just asked for them at check in...was it a bother to actually bring them to us in another building...this is exactly why we won't be back....I felt isolated and we had little/no service from staff during our stay. If something happened as in an emergency...the staff were in another building not ours. Spend the extra dough and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in the Historic District....this is by far our choice from today forward..as we've had numerous great experiences at the Hilton Garden Inn Historic Savannah. Our building was right beside White Bluff Rd and we heard cars all night coming and going...had trouble sleeping due to that. « less

We are one of the first 8 Homewood's ever built which is why our property is laid out so differently than the cookie cutter way they are built today. Our 3 suite buildings surround a historical Live Oak tree with the pool, gazebo and lodge in front. We also include free breakfast, free dinner (Monday through Thursday), free internet and free parking. I assure you that safety is our first priority and am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your visit.
Thank you for your recognition of our breakfast team, and I will be sure to address with the front desk why we didn't get extra pillows to you immediately so that it won't happen again.

Airport & Shuttle Information - Homewood Suites by Hilton
FROM THE SAVANNAH AIRPORT
Exit Savannah International Airport, turn left onto Airways Avenue and left again at the intersection onto I-95 South. Take I-95 South to I-16 East towards Savannah. Take exit 164-A (516 East). At the third stoplight turn right on Abercorn Street (204). The hotel entrance is 0.5 miles down on the right. Pull into drive and the hotel will be on the left.
FROM Jacksonville Airport(Florida)
Exit airport to I-95 North crossing in to Georgia. Take exit 94 (204/Abercorn Street) and go east. Keep straight for 16 miles and turn left on Lee Blvd. Turn right the Fairfield Inn entrance and go straight into the Homewood Suites by Hilton parking lot.
