• The expansive atrium and spectacular grand staircase provides the perfect back drop for each of the 330 elegant, two room Guest Suites all featuring a separate bedroom and spacious parlor. This hotel was not up to the standards we expect at a Hilton. Suite had 2 very small rooms with no outside windows, just views of the atrium/lobby and other room windows across from ours, on the sixth floor. Ice machine on our floor was broken. In the business center, one of the two computers was out of order, as well as the only printer. Internet access required paying a fee. Room cost just under $300. Valet parking $28/night. Only positive...location...a short walk to music venues. « less

I sometimes wonder if i have stayed in a different hotel when i read some reviews !!!!!! 4 of us stayed at this hotel .. 5th may until 12th may .....i could not fault this hotel at all !!! the staff were brill in all areas from front desk , shop, both bars , its clean and food good and always served with a smile , a gentleman called mike Austin was always interested in what we thought and if there was anything he could do to make our stay better ....mike it was perfect and a bit thank you to concierge JOE MACK ... so very helpful from contacting him from home in England and meeting helping us when we arrived ...you made our stay .. wonderful ...we all enjoyed every minute of it and hopefully be back one day !!!!!! jan & len mcgee « less

Place was clean. Staff was accommodating. Location is convenient.
But everywhere you looked, the hotel screamed for maintenance.
Baths felt old...25 year old fixtures and stained bathtub.

Furnishing felt vintage too - older phones, early flat screens with fuzzy pictures, chipped and scratched furniture.
Same with furniture in the breakfast dining area.
There is one major design flaw. The lobby is a ten story atrium. Inside rooms have a fixed panel picture window looking into the balcony. There is no window or sliding door that opens. Felt a little like a coffin with a window.
There was excellent music in the lobby from late afternoon to early evening...this is Music City.
This is not a luxury property. I saw few business travelers. Mostly senior citizens.
I was thinking about giving it two stars. It is at best a low three star hotel.
I will look for another hotel for my next trip to Nashville. « less

The rooms were clean and the bathroom is roomy. Broadway street is ten feet away so you wont get lost at 3am coming home from the bars. This place is a thousand times better that the Sherton, THAT hotel is the disgusting! « less

The Hilton Nashville Downtown has a large inner courtyard with many rooms facing inward. As some rooms face each other, the lack of privacy means that curtains need to remain closed for much of the time. Also, there is Muzak most of the day and an annoying flute/saxophone performer during drink hours (just the time I wanted to nap before a long evening out). Needless to say, the windows don't insulate from sound all that well.
The exercise room is an afterthought - long and narrow, with just enough room to walk by the treadmills. A few weights and an under-inflated exercise ball (50cm?) was at one end, but there wasn't enough room to lie flat for upwards press or ab exercises.
