Location. The family run Central Hotel Kaiserhof is located in the heart of Hanover, Germany, 500 metres from the Opera House and one kilometre from the Old Town. The central train station is 100 metres from the hotel and Hanover Airport is 10 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Dating from 1915, the five storey Central Hotel Kaiserhof has an imposing stone facade and period features. Complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby. At the 24 hour front desk, multilingual staff are on hand to assist with travel and tourist arrangements. Laundry facilities can be arranged. Guests receive discounted rates at a local fitness centre.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is offered each morning at the Wiener Café, which has period decor and views of Ernst August Square. Restaurant Brunnenhof, which has a courtyard and fountain, serves fresh fish, and German and international specialities. It is decorated in warm colours, with exposed beams and wood furniture. Room service is available during opening hours. There is also a beer garden and a lounge bar on site.
The Central Hotel Kaiserhof provides conference rooms and wireless Internet access is available in public areas.
Recreational activities at Lake Maschsee, two kilometres away, include swimming and boating. Bicycle hire and horse riding are available in the vicinity and the city's "green lung", the Eilenriede city forest, has jogging and bike paths.
Guestrooms. The 78 guestrooms are individually decorated with traditional furnishings. All have satellite television, direct dial phones, wireless Internet access, safes, and minibars which are restocked daily (complimentary). Bathrooms have natural stone washstands, baths or showers, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries.
Expert Tip. Festivals, fireworks and theatre performances take place throughout the summer amid the ornamental gardens and fishponds of Herrenhausen Gardens. Hanover's elegant park also features a maze, decorative grotto and baroque landscapes.

Driving Directions - Central Hotel Kaiserhof

From Hanover Airport (HAJ):
Distance to the Central Hotel Kaiserhof is 10 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The S Bahn's line 5 runs between the airport's train station and Hanover central station. Trains depart every 30 minutes between 5 AM and midnight. The journey takes about 15 20 minutes, and single tickets cost 2.40 EUR. Taxis to the hotel cost about 30 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Hanover's efficient public transport system includes S Bahn (suburban) trains, trams, and buses. Unlimited 24 hour tickets cost 4 6 EUR, depending on the zones required. Taxis can be hailed on the street.
Driving directions. From Hanover Airport:
Drive south on Flughafenstrasse.
Keep to the left hand lane, following signs to the city centre (Zentrum).
At the end of the road, turn left into Hamburger Allee and continue straight on for 800 metres.
After passing Suitehotel and the Kaufland shopping centre, turn right into Lister Meile.
Drive through the underpass of the train station.
The hotel will be directly ahead, next to the Saturn department store.
