I stayed in this Hilton Garden Inn recently on a business trip and was happy with my choice. The rooms are your standard Hilton Garden Inn fare - nothing fancy but perfectly nice, clean and comfortable. I found the staff extremely friendly and anxious to be helpful. The location is good with shuttle service around the uptown area, and walking distance to many restaurants. There is a small indoor pool and a workout room as well. I can't remember the exact number of each equipment type in the workout room but I think there were 3 treadmills, a couple of ellipticals and maybe a stationary bike too. There wasn't much in the way of weight equipment. There is a bar and a restaurant in the lobby but I didn't eat or drink there, so can't comment on those. There is also complimentary tea and coffee set up in the lobby in the morning.
No complaints at all - I would definitely stay in this hotel again. « less

Although I have have stayed at several very pleasant Hilton Garden Inn hotels in several cities and found consistently high standards at reasonable prices, this Hilton Garden Inn is absolutely the best of any of these and much better than most reasonably priced hotels. The location is across the street from the back of the Convention Center - the Convention Center is huge and it is better to walk around to the front entrance to find the location of your event. It is also across the street from the Nascar Hall of Fame. It is a short walk to the downtown Museums and offices. The buffet breakfast is served every day until a reasonable hour and features made to order omelets. There is plenty of fresh fruit and other choices and good coffee. In the evenings cookies are available at no cost along with iced tea and lemonade. The restaurant serves all day and we enjoyed a very tasty pesto chicken sandwich at a very reasonable price with fresh hot french fries for dinner. Self service parking is $10 per day in a garage with plenty of spaces. Although we got an upgrade to a suite, all the rooms appeared to be very clean and the entire hotel appears to be freshly remodeled, with nothing worn or stained in the rooms or hallways or elevators. The airconditioning is effective and quiet, and the showers have plenty of hot water and water pressure. The staff is always very helpful and friendly and more than one person is on duty at the desk at busy times, so there are no long waits. « less

Free shuttle for a 3-mile radius...I think they would stretch that if just outside the radius. C-Charlotte tours will pick you right up at the hotel. « less
